"We love with our hearts, but we fall in love with our eyes."
Anyone who says that looks don't matter is deceiving themselves.
Of course, it's not just looks that matter, but looks are very important and there's no point in pretending otherwise.
We are animals and we follow certain patterns.

I think this statement is untrue, well at the very least speaking about myself. Sometimes you can develop feelings and fall in love with someone you probably would have never even considered before.

Of course, this sentence should not be taken literally.
This sentence simply helps to answer the question a little.
Appearance is very important. Of course, we judge appearance by our eyes.
It is not without reason that attractive people are perceived better in society.
Such people may simply have an easier life.
Good looks can also help with self-confidence.
Advantages multiply.
Another question is: what is love?
In general, love is chemistry that happens in our body, but this chemical "cocktail" must be triggered in some way.
This is where my competence ends, but I only know that appearance helps a lot in this.

Looks do matter - in all aspect of life - because we are vain creatures. But your natural looks really only have to be above a certain very easily met threshold. Presentation is more important: watch you weight, have a look that's right for you, take care of your skin, fitting clothes, etc. Then the dreaded "confidence" and similar personality traits can bump you a bit in either direction.
For example that girl in your spoiler. Sure she had some sort of operation done, but look at other differences in the pictures: mascara, eyebrows done, tan, smile, and a wave of hair on the side of her face. Those make a bigger difference than her nose. She's a perfectly fine looking young woman in the left pictures with her natural self.
[I have no problem with cosmetic surgery, generally. You get one life, if it makes you feel good go ahead. I personally just want to look like I look for the most part.]

First of all, what's going on in this thread lol. And don't talk to fish, they have really bad opinions
Second, I do think looks are pretty relevant, I can't deny that; but I'll also add that they can be subjective, at least when talking about personal relationships, not society at large. It's not unheard of for someone to be attracted to 'unconventional beauty', especially if paired with things like a good personality, charisma and/or chemistry

Same, specially lsd. Have you tried shrooms tho?.. Cause I've heard LSD is just like them, just depends on how many grams of mushies you take.
Anyway do try to be careful even if you get it from a dispensary, I'd test it with a Kit. Not because one is necessarily afraid of death or something, but because it can be laced or have some stuff that could damage your brain cells and then you won't even be able to.. Idk many things.
That's so rare for shrooms dispensary chains to have LSD from what i know, u must live somewhere like Amsterdam cause yeah acid is not legally sold in dispensaries in most countries if not all countries. Idk.

I'm high on shrooms right now, lol. I heard that LSD is supposedly feels more "synthetic" in comparisons to shrooms.
The dispensaries here are basically like the weed dispensaries that were once around proor to its legalization (I'm Canadian). They're being ran by people who want them to legal so it would be in their best interest to sell people the real thing, lol. Also, it would probably cost more to lace a bunch of mushrooms with stuff, like PCP, in comparison to just growing actual psychedelic mushies.
The shrooms dispensaries in Canada are ran on the grey market. They aren't legal here but the police don't really give a shit and just raid them every once in a while. A lot of them end up opening up not too long after like nothing happened.
I'm have a very good trip so far. Much better than last time, lol.

Nice! Do you know how many grams you took? I have this absolute weird obsession almost like a fetish; that once the mushrooms kick in and i begin yawning, i go straight to the mirror and stare at my pupils for god knows how long and see how how much they've grown in size, almost like they have become some voids or black holes that swallow the iris's of my eyes. I high key love it.

Nope. I ate some shrooms chocolate but the dosage per square was real weird. It was like 2820 something mg. Why would you dose it like that? Then again, those bars were from Amsterdam and ones I had before (1gram per square) where made here.
The yawning thing is likely due to your body breaking down the psilocybin into psilocin (don't quote me on this. I don't remember where I read that).
Being high is great, lol. I especially like the dumb trails of thought I get into, pondering on and making connections between all sorts of things.

I voted "more yes than no". I do think that looks are important to an extent since having good looks does make your life easier overall since you'd be able to make friendships/relationships easier as well as being able to get a job easier. To deny this is just wishful thinking. However, looks aren't everything as there are some hidden stipulations in place that makes having good looks be beneficial. Firstly, I think that being neurodivergent nullifies being good looking due to how it makes life harder regardless of looks. Secondly, having good looks doesn't matter if you are somebody who doesn't desire to be in a relationship nor desires to wage slave (i.e. me). Also, being good looking doesn't mean that you'll get easier access to everything in life but only some things. For example, it's possible to be good looking but still have nobody care about you being suicidal or about you in general
If I had good looks, my life would be the exact same as there isn't anything in life that I desire. I loathe life itself
i don't think appearances are everything, but i do think they're significant for the average human.
i dated a guy online before without knowing anything except his name age and state, we were close friends for a year before that so i knew i loved him before i ever saw his face.
vice versa when i'm on an app, i have no reason to not be picky since it a) doesn't really go anywhere or b) ends up being a hookup
some people will date based on appearance first, and then select from there based on personality (instead of looking for a good personality first and beauty second). not saying one is "better" than the other — especially if you consider the transactional nature of relationships at their core — but beauty definitely fades with youth. your mind is hopefully a little slower to go.
The great incel theory posits that looks are everything for males, and nothing for females. I.e., the ugliest female can have unlimited sex, whereas the hottest male will still have to take care of himself constantly lest he be cucked.
In my case, however, it's all irrelevant because I'm an autistic sperg, so it never began. Both normies and incels will hate me.
Everyone has a different definition of beauty, imo, looks are just a nice addition to a great personality. Also, stop getting your information on the world from tiktoks and social media in general, it's all lies.
Looks are not everything — especially when you leave out the context (see examples below). But I assume your context is relationships and social interactions, in which case, good looks certainly help you in life but are most definitely not everything. The show "Pop The Balloon Or Find Love" supports this notion by allowing its contestants to pop their balloon during the Q&A session.
Maintaining relationships:
Inner beauty prevails over outer beauty.
One-night stands:
Looks are important but certainly not everything.
Beauty pageants:
Looks were everything in the past. But now they moved towards including inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. [wiki]
As a member of the unattractive community I can tell you that look's definitely matter . I don't stand a chance on these dating apps and my personality is nonexistent, so yeah it's lonely out here for me . When I post on social media I got to use 92 hashtags to get 3 likes and those are from bot pages. When you aren't outgoing or attractive it's like you don't even exist.
