Hello sad people,
Hopefully there isn't already something about this somewhere - nothing came up as suggested and I'm still finding my way around here and how to be a community member - but I'm curious about any users' experience around loneliness stopping them from quitting the game, as I like to call it.
I came upon a goodbye thread in the first days after signing up that was rather intense, where the user seemed so distressed about departing alone as it happened, and was just looking for presence of others in the process. Then there's the entire subsection for partners. It's no secret many of us are very lonely, but paradoxically enough that same thing seems to keep us around and/or company can be a motivator.
How does this play in for you? If you don't want to go alone (in either sense), why not? Have you tried on your own before, but stopped due to being alone? If you isolated any thought process behind it, I'd love to hear.
Best of wishes to everyone
