Venting Living in Israel is making me suicidal again

I hate living in a militaristic society and I hate what Israel is currently doing in Gaza (which I consider to be genocidal warfare). The war with Iran seems like the entire thing all over again. My family's pro-war position is extremely concerning to me and I no longer think that they are moral people. The whole thing is basically making me question if life is really worth living and the answer is no, at least not in Israel. I know that things could be worse, but I truly envy people who live in civilized, democratic states

I'm getting sick of it myself. Although I don't live in Israel, I'm having a tough time understanding why all this conflict isn't stopping or at least slowing down,damn.

It's like there's something new every day.

I've seen YouTube videos of guys and girls walking around Israel with assault rifles and I've just been floored by it. It's kind of crazy. You hit the nail on the head calling it a militaristic society.

It's like something out of a video game or Halo USMC.

There is no true democracy, its just an illusion of power for the people. Democracy is just a way to control stupid people like a cattle, by making them think their votes actually matter.

I agree that October 7 was horrifying (especially killing 400 people in a music festival, that was really disgusting). At the same time, just as I wouldn't want to kill neo-Nazis, I wouldn't want to kill Gazans just because they support the killing of Jews (and some of them don't even support it). I'd even argue that Hamas members who didn't participate in October 7 shouldn't necessarily be killed.

I'm glad things are better in India though. But I heard about that plane crash and it seems like a lot of people were killed there. The world is in a terrible state right now.

I wish I could leave the country. Unfortunately, that's not possible for me for a number of reasons.

If for different reasons you can't leave the country now, maybe the best is to hold on until circumstances change and you can move abroad, to study or work. If you haven't got many qualifications that would make it easy for you to find employment abroad, you can always start in a contact centre with Hebrew.

Where I live, in Bulgaria, jobs for Hebrew speakers are frequently advertised by companies such as TELUS Digital and others. TELUS even helps you relocate, providing you with accommodation for the first month and also paying for your tickets. At least they did that for my Portuguese and, I recon, Spanish coworkers. Then you can take it from there - make new friends, explore a new country, learn new skills and live in peace. Note: don't get a content reviewer job, because you could end up having to watch disturbing content. Customer support or customer service are better options.

I hope the war on Gaza ends soon and that both peoples can find peace and security. You are a honourable human being for having the sobriety and moral courage to see things for what they are, even if your family and friends have completely different views.

What problems do you have? I don't know much about immigration from Israel, but I wonder there are supports to escape the walfare as @enjoytheride mentioned. If immigration helps avoid CTB, I think it's worth trying. It might also be a good idea to contact jewish anti-zionist organizations.

I agree its genocide but thats my opinion. in the uk protesters are being arrested for speaking up on it and that alone made me want to throw up. I am completely dependent on my family and don't have the financial or social capabilities to move to another country on my own.

It's horrible everywhere in its own way.
I'm from Mexico, and it's a piece of shit because of the people. They're talking hominids with a primitive mentality whose goal is to annoy their neighbors just to feel superior (they have complexes). Most of them have complexes and believe themselves superior just because of some stupid, pointless thing.

Personally, I don't hate anyone of any race, nation, religion, or sexual orientation, but there are countries where the laws, censorship, and social problems are horrible, but every country has its serious problems.
For example, I like Japan, but the employment situation is horrible; you can literally die from it. In fact, because of things like this, there's a lot of depression there, added to the fact that people don't even want to have children, among other things. Therefore, there is no perfect place in this world, and if there were, my mind is too emaciated to start from scratch.
