Method ligature strangulation no hanging?

can i ctb by ligature strangulation without hanging?

im struggling to find a strong enough anchor point for partial hanging (the only one i can actually think of is going to one of the little forests in my city and using a branch there) so ive been trying to find info about ligature strangulation. what i mean by this is doing the knot and the rope and all that, as though im going to do partial hanging, but instead, just tightening the slipknot around my neck as tight as possible. as far as i can understand this would be very similar to tourniquet method.

i know that SI is very strong. i have done things to myself that i think indicate my ability to overcome strong SI (cut myself close to arteries so many times that i can see down to the layer of fat and sometimes deeper, given myself concussions).

seeking advice. would this work? i dont really want to do night night because i dont want to die with a bag on my head. i might get desperate enough, but id rather avoid it.

From personal experience this isn't possible. But again. This is just my experience. I've tried this several times and I've gotten to the point of the head rush and actually passed out before - but I'm still here

Some people have done it with zip lines (don't remember their name. Also by doing lots of knots in a certain way.

But this is extremely difficult and will probably hurt if not done right. Don't recommend trying it.

Yes of course it is. You need the correct knot so it doesn't become loose, and it has to be very tight (the same as anything around the neck) to achieve it. Tighter than you think - it will hurt for a bit.

it is possible it happens in psych hospitals i know patients i lived with in the past have died this way leaning forward and zero will to survive the attempt nothing left to fight or will to live

i also think the attemps that succeeded were after multible fails what i mean is it is possible to kill yourself this way tho it might not happen first try

Yeh this is basically my method and it works. Most important thing for me is that pressure is applied to the front of the neck and ligature should be at the very top of neck close to the jawbone.

Can be done sitting down or lying down. Standing up u would fall and make noise

The advantage of hanging is that it applies pressure vertically and so partial puts less pressure on windpipe. Ligature strangulation puts horizontal pressure so targets windpipe a bit more.

Because of this, it's recommended to position the ligature at the very top of the neck close to the jawbone so not as much pressure goes to windpipe. This makes you able to breathe as u pass out because windpipe not 100% blocked

This is my planned method, with knots placed along the length of the shoelace so I can ratchet it tighter and tighter to block my carotids. I constructed my ligature over a year ago, it's always beside my bed.
