I think it's easier to talk the talk than to walk the walk, for all people, but philosophers set themselves high standards. He was an idealist, a thoughtful and intelligent man. I've also noticed some discrepancies in his thinking but i don't care, because i felt that the place he was coming from was genuine and compassionate. He had a complicated life, unlike some buddhist master who is brought up entirely in a limited tradition. He was trying to explain existence to himself as much as anyone else and i forgive him his contradictions and uncertainty.
