So I had to vent about my fucked up year on social media, just to get the same old answer "Next year is gonna be different" and "Life is beautiful". I know it's not, and I know next year is not going to be any different. Please somebody give me any ideas on what to reply, cause I just can't think what to say any more…

I don't think we can or even should try to convince them otherwise.

Just say nothing is the best bet. Using social media to make statements or as therapy is only going to lead to frustration.

I'm repulsed when people repeat insensitive toxic positivity like that despite the fact that the reality we exist in is undeniably so hellish. It disturbs me how there is no limit as to how much one can suffer as long as they are burdened with the ability to exist, the amount of sensesless cruelty, torture and suffering that has been experienced by existing beings all throughout history is absolutely horrifying to me.

It's just so wrong to label life "beautiful" where all through chance one can end up in such extreme agony, existence is just undesirable and meaningless suffering. I find it tragic how humans continue to force life into this reality as to simply exist is something so harmful.
