My relative committed suicide. To me it was a complete surprise, though in hindsight there were signs like how he took a long break from his work. I didn't chat with him much so I never got to know him better.

I live in small Swiss village. Between 2007-2020, one family co methode, one mother of two children jumped in front of the train, an 65 old man also train suicide, An old geanny hanged herself in the woods, an 54 ond man suicide with alcohol overdose and when I was in high school a guy hanged himself.

This teenager guy was depressive all his life for no explanation, maybe genetic problem.

My brother hanged himself when I was 6 y/o.

I only recently found out. I knew that he had died, but always thought it was a car accident. I have vivid memories of seeing a news article about the crash, and us driving by the crash site. An S-curve with the village name on a road sign and a lot of bushes and trees around. He supposedly went too fast and off the road.

But when I told my mother about it, she had no idea what I was talking about
How did life go on for you and your family? I also have a 6 y.o sister

Multiple. Including a good friend I met here. Some were expected. Others were a complete surprise to everyone. You never know who truly is or isn't this way until it happens. Then....it's too late....

I know a lad that died by suicide, the story is really sad I can't say much because I want to protect my identity but this lads girlfriend got hit by a school bus outside of the school gates she tragically passed away, he carried on for another year and a half but decided he couldn't take it anymore and he ended his life. They were only young I think the girl was 15 and he was 18 at the time they left. He's been round my flat a couple times and I gave him lifts and we some good conversations. Seeing the mess it's left his family in is actually the reason I'm prolonging my ctb so much. The last thing I want to do is hurt anyonre but I can't stay alive for other people, I physically can't do life. There was also another girl I knew she used to broadcast live she was only 15

When I was little my parents used to let me spend time with our neighbours kids, who they were friends with.
One of their boys jumped from the balcony when he was 10, I was 7 back then. One day he was playing on the balcony with his brother and out of a sudden he climbed the balcony railing and asked his brother - If I jump from here, where will I go, to heaven or hell?. After a few minutes he jumped.

One of the neighbor boys I grew up with killed himself. I'm not sure how he did it and I wasn't callous enough to ask. It was in 2008 and we were all in highschool. That summer I was told a heavy secret that he was gay and had a secret boyfriend. Some months later I asked the same person how he was doing with that. He said the boy told his family and was "in big trouble". Then some months after that he had killed himself in his bedroom. I regret not saying something to him, and I feel guilty when I think about that.

I used to talk to someone over the internet who killed themselves. It was a trans woman who lived a 4 hour drive from me. She had a side job as a prostitute and used to talk to me about it. She had a pretty shitty life in general. I felt guilty when she killed herself with SN. I respect her choice and how hopeless she felt about the future.

My great grandpa killed himself with a shotgun, but I did not know him personally.

Not personally, But I did hang out with a dude who was maybe fresh out of prison? Never got, or asked, his name. All I know is, we met at a hotel, sat on the patio drinking beer, joking and bullshitting for several hours, until the sun sank low.

He asked me how to connect his phone to the hotel wifi, to play music. Then he showed me a big bag of pills. Musta been enough dope in that bag to kill 10 men or more. In that moment, I made nothing of it. He seemed in good spirits.

So, the sun went down and as we were parting ways, for some strange reason, and I honestly don't know why, I said; "This is god's country" ...

I think I said that, because it was such a beautiful sunset. A perfect day. And all he said was, "Amen brother",
then quietly retired to his room.

In the morning, the coroner carted him off. And as I would later learn, he deliberately checked into that hotel, to OD. CTB.

I don't know why, and I never will. But I do ask myself, what I might have said or done, had he told me he checked in to ... check out.
