Ketamine did nothing for me, want to ctb tonight, concerns

I just got a ketamine infusion done today. It did absolutely nothing and if anything worsened my mood. Now I really feel I need to ctb. I just feel so bad for my mom. Especially because she'll have to find my body. I want to do it tonight. The last time I ate was 6 pm, so I need to fast for 8 hours, right? So the earliest I can take it is 2 am, right?
Also, do you think it's safe to do it in the middle of the night when my parents are in the house? My mom is a light sleeper. Is it likely that I'll vom? If so, she'll probably wake up and hear me. I need to know how likely it is that I'll vom if I take a stat dose of meto 40 minutes before the N. I have everything I need. I just feel so bad for my mom that she'll have to find me. I went to the grocery and bought bread for toast that I'll take a few minutes before the meto and also some chocolate and alcohol for after the N. This may be it, guys...should I be concerned if I ctb with my mom right down the hall?

I can't tell you if you'll throw up or not--depends on individual differences and what your stomach is like. But doing a 48h meto regimen can help improve your chances of success.

Was it your first ever ketamine infusion? If so then you have three more to get during the initial treatment period. The first four treatments are part of the stabilization phase. Do you think there is a chance you might feel better after the second or third or fourth infusion?

Well, I guess it's okay since your family will find out anyways eventually. It just might be tougher when they see your room and think of finding you there unresponsive. But, that's just looking at it from all sides and I am sure you are suffering badly to even consider doing it in the first place

Just so you know it can take several infusions to work. There are reports of it helping serious depression after 24 hr though. Just something to think about. I am sending you peaceful thoughts. (Even though I can't manage them for myself I always have empathy for others)

If they knew you weren't responding maybe they would want to do additional infusions twice a week (assuming you meant 4th and not 48th regimen/infusion). Hope you have some peace between now and Sunday.

Ok I didn't catch that. I wish they could give you another infusion tomorrow just to see if it could kick in. But I understand. This was a long road to get you where you are today and it sucks. Check in over the weekend if you want and at least let some of us give you a virtual hand holding and comforting.

I think you're smart for doing the 48hr regimen. Especially if you're afraid you might get caught. Not like you can just run to the chemist and grab some more N.

If your main reason for ctb is low mood I'd encourage you to wait until you've had a few more doses, if you can. I've self-medicated with ketamine but followed the same regime, and I think it was only the 2nd or 3rd dose which really helped my mood. In fact, it was fantastic. Gave me a whole new perspective on things. Just my 2 cents.

I would love to try ketamine, is there criteria you have to meet to qualify for a prescription? I have an appointment coming up with the Pain team so was thinking of suggesting a ketamine trial for both pain and depression? I had the injectable liquid form a while back and it nearly blew my head off.

Thanks for that. I'm not in the US and haven't heard of any ketamine treatment centres in my country, but at least I could use your info when talking to the docs about options. I worked in palliative care and it was used for pain a lot with varied results, some people thought it was a miracle and others said it did f**k all.

If people were going to do that (in the UK anyway) they could just buy it from the street/dw and administer it themselves. It's about £15 per gram as I remember, and a gram would be at least 10 doses, dependant on bodyweight.
