Discussion Just wanted to say something even though this is a bit of a dead topic.

This has no right to still bother me, I know.

At first when I saw the video I haven't ever visited the site. I knew of it, but didn't post or read anything.

Without having any bias towards the site nor the YouTuber, I could just tell that he was ignorant. But I thought he meant well.

I commented on Tantacrul's video, not in defence of the site because I didn't know much about it, but just trying to explain my point of view as a person who's been suicidal for a while. I mentioned that I understand him to some extent but ultimately disagreed.

He then deleted/hid all of my comments.

That says all you need to know about him.

He disabled dislikes on the video.

He says in his pinned comment that he specfically has moderators deleting all comments that do not agree with the general stance or mention the true sites name as he has obfuscated it in the video.

There is a whole 2-day gap between new apporved comments and its only about 100-1000 approved, the rest get thrown out.

When people confronted him on twitter about his opinions, he blocked them,

Does he sound ignorant, or does he sound like he doesn't want his opinion to be contested?

Sounds like a deliberate choice to keep others ignorant of the fact not everyone agrees with him. Who's this fool anyways? Keep seeing that name all around the site but don't feel like looking up random people (besides political candidates. Despite the fact am not even allowed to vote. Which is one of many reasons this is so infuriating to read about. He's taking away their ability to vote.)

He is a UX designer for Audacity (a audio editing program) and Cortana (the useless thing in Windows that nobody uses.)

He also had some debuts in art shows but other than that he is pretty uneducated about the right to die.

Esentially, my main issue with him is that he is a art student, not a philosopher or ethicist that is qualified to talk about the topic with such a surface glance.

If he wants to be taken seriously, maybe he should've looked more into the site than the Suicide Discussion section.

And yes, I do think its a deliberate choice to prevent people from being told that no one else agrees with him.

Huh. If he's completely unqualified, how is he tricking others into listening to him? Genuinely curious.

Granted, still don't understand how politicians trick others into listening to them about stuff they clearly don't understand, let alone get believed.

Or how silencing those who know more than you about something is ever seen as ok. Why aren't they taking the opportunity to learn and grow?

It's scary.

Maybe if understood it it would be less scary though since we're supposed to be afraid of the unknown??? Not entirely positive. Humans are weird.

Ah, that video. He didn't seem genuine so I didn't bother to watch past the first 5-7 minutes. I'm kinda thankful because that video introduced the forum to me right when I needed it the most :]
