Just remembered that the first time I heard about suicide was through a Tom and Jerry episode

It was that one where both get rejected by their crush or something like that and then they kill themselves via train. I was really young so I didn't really understand at all

Nothing else, just needed to tell someone this hahaha

And also the one where Tom goes to hell gave me nightmares and it's one of my earliest memories

I loved that episode where the baby mouse, I forgot their name , sang a french song while making a sandwich, I wanted to eat that sandwich.

Also the episode with Tom going to hell was scary indeed, I think he thought he killed Jerry or something along those lines.

It didn't really register at the time but in stills, it's pretty shocking.

I remember all of this, crazy how it didn't stick with me how macabre(?) it was at times. I always liked Tom's sort of depressive state or negative luck, very relatable lol

Now I'm feeling like watching those episodes.
