From what I gathered in his post from the error, he's slightly above 1g or closer to 2-3g with the second ingestion. Still enough to be lethal, but I'm not exactly sure how long that would take in grains compared to grams. I hope he's doing alright.

1/5 of the bottle gone should be more than 2-3 g..

This sounds a bit impulsive and disorganized .. first posts made on this site -- 'just drunk SN' .. Very sad . But each and their choice .

Well , a grain is 0.065 gram .

i will check back in if anything else goes wrong
I guess nothing went wrong so far .

Hope OP is okay where ever they are

Exactly, and he said he did 23 grains at first, which is about 1.4g then a second round which I assumed would bump him to 2-3g. I hope he's where he wants to be at this moment ♡

Ah the good old grains, as mentioned 65mg. I'm not sure why the rest of the world won't follow the lead of Liberia and the country formerly known as Burma in adopting common sense units.

Sorry, read this just a bit too late LOL, but if no effects come up before I pass out in next 20 mins or so, I'll call ems
I cant help but feel this whole thing was really poorly thought out. 'If no effects come in 20 mins I'll call EMS'. I hope you understand now that your desire to call emergency services is a sign of regret, and that you wanted to survive. Sorry to sound so blunt, but this is not a joke. If you make this decision again to CTB, and realise it's a mistake it might end up in you ending up in a psychiatric hospital (if it doesnt already). Please consider things seriously next time.

I think they were thinking if it wasn't going to kill them, then they should get treated to avoid any "damage and not ctb" I don't think it was about regrets. They ended up taking the wrong dosage bcuz of the setting on the scale. They corrected this and continued on from what we can tell?

using LOL is strange for me also as it's very serious matter.. nerves? Habit?

I may catch some hate for this. But how could one confuse grains over grams? He did say he'd caught the mistake and was re calibrating to compensate.

Honestly no one is gona know what happened now, I hope either way it was peaceful for OP. But I have a feeling they'll be back in a few days after a hospital stent at this point.

I struggle to understand how anyone can confuse grains for grams when it comes to SN. 20 grains is just over 1.2 grams. That is a quarter of a teaspoon. How do you put a quarter of a teaspoon of SN on the scales and then put it into a cup without realising that its way too little? Also, if they had done any research they would know that SN doesnt have a track record of causing any damage in non-fatal attempts. So I cant understand why anyone would want to call emergency services to avoid damage, rather than just take more unless they either hadn't done their research, or didnt truly want to CTB anymore.

Unfortunately not many people are used to grains in the US as a measurement (I'm assuming location) and unless specifically taught, I can see how seeing grains on a scale could be mistaken as grams. He did end up taking more and more, but maybe si caught up a tad. I'm not sure of any adverse effects of surviving, but I could guess there's a possible chance of ulcers. Maybe not. But if NSAIDs could, why not mass amounts of sn? I definitely believe it was rushed and I still hope he's at peace, whatever happened.

Obviously they hadn't done extensive research and don't understand how much 25 g is.
it's not rushed when he says he fasted the entire day. He also only posted after not having the effects he expected..

OR
This was all just to get everyone worked up and LOL

I'm well known (and often disliked) for my blunt assessments of poorly-made SN attempts, but this one doesn't strike me as one of those. Grains is a fairly archaic measurement, and not one I had heard of myself. When you are in the zone of attempting, you do become more narrowly-focused and lose a lot of perspective and common-sense, and if the scale says something that (to you) looks like grams, you are probably going to assume it is correct and not question why the spoonful seems smaller than what you may (or may not) have read previously it should resemble.

I do however agree it is strange to call emergency services if you have taken (what you think is) a lethal dose and are feeling basically zero effects. One would think you would either take more (while assuming that something to do with either yourself or your SN made it less potent in 'normal' amounts) or abort the attempt and go on with your life to attempt on another occasion. Calling EMS, when you are free of symptoms, obviously puts you at risk of discovery, forced psychiatric hospitalisation and future monitoring by family which would make future attempts much more difficult.

At least the OP had the honesty to post about their attempt, seek advice and admit their mistakes, and to be humble about them rather than unnecessarily defensive. Perhaps a post or amendment to the guides/FAQ could mention the existence of grains as a measurement on some scales, and the need to avoid confusion.

I'm sorry for @SodaCant and tbh for any adult, suicidal or not, who can't tell by looking at it roughly what a tablespoon of salt looks like. My kitchen measuring spoons all have grams noted on them. Anyone who's unfamiliar with that should be sent to the kitchen with a nice recipe until they're familiar with measurements, then read the SN guide. It's been hard enough convincing people here that 1 tablespoon means a level kitchen measuring spoon, not a randomly heaped spoon used for eating.

@Isadeth, you said 3 grams is enough SN to be lethal; could you provide some context to that, please and thank you? Sources, circumstances, whose deaths, etc? Thanks.

And @SodaCant, I hope you're ok and where you want to be in one sense or the other. And sorry it came to this.

I think the correct term is "kitchen utensils" or "cooking aids", @autumn dear. And that photo would be a helpful addition to all our SN threads, guides, factsheets and quick reads. Go forth and multiply it, please!

Just to be clear.... this doesn't necessarily reflect poorly on LWolf SN... this person measured out something like 3-4 grams of SN and that is why the experience went the way it did. Correct? Myself, and I assume many others have purchased LW brand.

Yes. This person used a tiny amount of SN and so their result in no way reflects on the brand of SN used.

what tablespoon is?

It refers to two (sometimes different) things, both a general type of spoon and/or a specific measure of volume.

I'm always more amazed at the people who can't weigh their SN. It's like, you know how to source and purchase a relatively obscure chemical compound, but getting some cheap digital scales is somehow beyond your capabilities?! :))
