The friend I am staying with, I have known her for the better part of 10, maybe 15 years. I've watched her kids grow up. I remember when they were in diapers.
They have been poor ever since I could remember. Granted the life I lived wasn't far off from theirs - within reason.
They're wanting me to put in for some job applications in the area. They assume I'll be living with them for quite some time. A "fresh start" so to speak.
I'm just not sure how to put it that I'm not staying around - much less working. My burnout has reached an all time high , and no matter where I go it will end in ctb.
I've tried to raise their quality of living just a little bit. Cleaning up all the dog shit every day, mopping , cleaning the windows and furniture…Buying them furniture. Hell I've even been cookin for them. Just trying to do what I can before that bus comes.
Which feels impossible, but we can make the impossible possible.
