The 30% figure is for car on car collision, which would be too high but I won't be in car . Figures vary but multiple sources suggest 10 % survival at 40mph for car vs. pedestrian . Almost certain death at 55mph for car on pedestrian but less exact estimates since pedestrians don't tend to be on roads that high speed.Survival rates at 50 mph are 30%, which I would personally consider fairly high. Survival continues to decrease the faster the vehicle is going, but there are a lot of variables in this that are out of your control. Drivers may not be able to stop before hitting you, but they will have some reaction of slowing down before they hit you & will instinctually try to swerve to avoid you, impacting your ability to aim for the wheel. Please consider all possibilities, so that if you do choose to pursue this it's well thought out & as safe as you can make such an uncontrollable scenario
