• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

My dad is doing a fundraiser walk with his work for suicide prevention and all donations go towards an organization that helps people. My whole immediate family is doing it with him. My dad and brother reposted it on Facebook to try and get our family and their friends to donate. I didn't because I have everyone they know added basically.

There is $155 in donations. $100 from my dad. $50 from my brother. $5 from my aunt. The whole work team has $750. (I didn't donate because all my money is from my dad already but I might donate $5 so it's a bit more) I'm not saying it's not a lot and there are more teams I'm just saying for my dad's side I feel like more people donating. Not just three. We have a big family.

It makes me mad. I remember I did fundraising with my dad for cancer research before where I cut my hair for a wig and he shaved his head bald as required for the donations. We got so many people donating for it that wasn't just my dad's money. And I'm not saying cancer isn't as serious I'm just saying this suicide prevention fundraising isn't going the same way.

It's just wild that my other family members don't care about suicide prevention and donating to an organization that helps with research, education, and support and is actually good to donate to. It's a dose of reality though.

Unfortunately, people do seem to be more sympathetic to cancer than to suicide. That and the economy is *brutal* right now; many people don't have money to spare on donations.

Still, I hope the fundraiser goes well!
