How do you detach yourself from people and connections whenever you want to? What do you tell yourself? How do you not live a life where people weigh you down?

Not like the, ' oh no, there's toxic people around me and I need to be better ' way but just sort of disconnecting from any affection towards any sentient creature whether they are good or bad. But the catch is, You have to be social and socially accepted, only the people don't know that you simply don't care about them and are just pretending.

What am I even writing.
You all have a night, Bye!

We all have levels of exposure we allow. With people we trust and love, we can be open and honest. With people we have to work with who may be toxic, we can establish boundaries. For example, a person who shares dirty jokes might be dissuaded from sharing by saying, "Thanks, I could have gone all day without that picture in my mind".

In the public sphere encounters with strangers can be civil and even humorous. If someone exposes themselves as toxic, they usually can be quickly avoided.
