  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

sigh.... life is just SO FUCKING POINTLESS in the end. The more I think about it, the more I literally want to torture my parents for bringing me into this cruel world for their own selfish reasons. I'm already wayyyy pass the point of feeling guilty of hurting them if I CTB. If anything, I literally want them to suffer from it, as they totally deserve this shit. Trying to act all nice and caring and shit, when they are the ones that honestly started all this suffering in the first place. Fuck them

I don't want to have to rely on anybody if I get there even. The sooner the better under the right conditions.

It's not scary at all. Knowing that you won't have to deal with old age is very freeing. Live it up, blow your cash, and end it when the party's over.

My rationale is that all of us can die at any moment by way of chance. Something could happen, it's unpredictable. It's a fear of the unknown and for some reason we assume that the future will be better though it's increasingly uncertain. That's why I live in the moment and disconnect from my body because after all I'm just another point of sentience in the universe. It's so utterly meaningless.

Oh man... no... I can't imagine being old. It scares the hell out of me. Losing senses, possible dementia, becoming so dependent. I just can't grasp it...

A more nihilistic point of view is that what we do or don't do doesn't make any difference, except to us. While some people look at that as a negative, I see it as being very positive - we are free to do whatever we want.

I don't know if it's utterly meaningless, maybe just insignificant. Hell, in the grand scheme of things, an entire galaxy could disappear, and the universe would go on like nothing happened. What real difference does one of 8 billion people, who are here for a brief time really make?

Exactly. Our existence is so brief but we ascribe so much significance to it because we can't think of anything else beyond what our brains can allow us to comprehend.

Just like Tyler said in fight club, "you are not special." So many people hate that movie for the message it sends...

Definitely agree. I had been slowly deteriorating since I was about 6, and then everything caught up to me and I started to deteriorate pretty rapidly around 22. It definitely is scary. I'm not even 30 yet, but just based on how my whole life has gone, I know that it's only going to get worse as time goes on. I'd much rather live a long, happy and healthy life, and I've grieved the idea of that for an extremely long time, but realistically that's just nowhere in the cards for me, and I'm doing myself absolutely no favours by keeping this going any longer.

I've always been afraid of getting old as well, and I think that, even if I weren't so buggered up in every way imaginable, I still wouldn't want to live into old age, but it's hard to say for sure, because I've just... always felt that way. I'm already jaded, in constant pain, dependent on others for help, etc, and if I even were to make it into old age exactly as I am right now (which I can't even fathom), everything that comes with old age on top of all the issues I've already got would just be the icing on the shit cake. Hard pass.
