Using your hands, put your full body weight into the knot.

Fare well, stay safe.

I'm gonna be honest with you, that rope kinda looks a bit weak from a glance, but it's not bad. Maybe if you do a partial hanging instead of a full on hanging then it'll work better.

Also, what do you plan to do with those plants? I'm just asking, do you plan to leave a note saying that someone else can take it? I'm really just asking that's all.

I hope you find peace btw.

Well I'm no longer suicidal so it might not happen soon
The plants belong to my mom not me

Also I'm not suicidal anymore so...

Well I'm suicidal again now

If I do partial hanging as the other person suggested how would I test the rope for that?

Those plants aren't mine they are my mom's so nothing will happen to them

But do you know like a tutorial on how the entire partial hanging thing works

Trust me, if you're wavering, just stop and go for a run. A botched hanging attempt is not a pretty sight nor is it painless. It takes some practise to find the right place to cut off blood to your brain.

Take your time. If you've already decided to end it, you can end it at any point. So take your time to do things you want that you can currently do anyways.

Yeah I know that an incorrect attempt is really bad

There's a megathread on partial hanging here but it doesn't describe everything so I'm kinda stuck on how to do some of the steps needed to pull this off

Similar to before. Stretch your legs out as far as possible and hold onto the rope with your hands. When you're going for partial, only your upper-body will provide the weigh.

As @itsalldone said, you probably shouldn't CTB on a whim. It's something that should take serious consideration.

Running isn't always available. Some people feel unsafe alone in public, suffer at the hands of mobility limitations, or just don't find it works. Could try vidya, I personally find that old HTML5 archives of 80s/90s games work best for me.

Yeah I shouldn't CTB on a whim but for my situation I realized that the problem I have might be permanent so it's better to just end it

When testing, should I hang with my hands onto the rope or just pull?

As a good rule of thumb I personally follow; if the consequences of an event or an imminenymt situation do not result in the immediate loss of my ability to CTB for the foreseeable future, it's best not to spontaneously CTB because of it.

Preferably hang by your hands, yeah. If you have the upper body strength, sit down/bend your legs, and pull yourself up to where most of your weight is supported by your arms on the rope.

So would that just be a pullup (the hanging by my hands thing)

Also I'm planning to use this for my CTB but again not sure if it's strong enough, I can do a pullup on it but is that enough force to know that this would work for CTB?

Yep, pretty much. If you can put your full weight into a pullup with the anchor remaining sturdy, it should be fine to CTB.

Try to avoid any rash decision-making OP. If you want/need/can talk, please shoot (no pun intended) me a DM about it.

I meant I can pullup on the grills themselves but I didn't check if I can do a pullup on the rope because I didn't make any setup yet

Just remember that the rope will focus your weight onto a singular point. I'm sure you could figure out a couple of knots to redistribute the weight across two points.

I wish you luck with whatever's happening, and my offer stands. Stay as safe as you can be.

Tying knots is like the thing I'm the worst at tbh

Anyways is there like a guide or tutorial on how to set the whole thing up since I don't wanna mess up

Partial hanging megathread should have a few anchor/user knots available. When you're in the thread itself, the search function will comb the replies if you search for a tutorial.

"You should test this by tying the loose end of your ligature around
the support several times, sticking your hand (NOT your head) in the
noose and pushing down with it. If the noose holds, you're fine. If
not, then you'll have to find another spot."

You talked about doing a pullup on the noose but the partial hanging megathread just talked about pushing down, so which one is actually enough?

I'm sure pushing down would be enough, but for good measure I would do a pullup.

I was actually wavering about the decision, basically let me explain the situation with this message I sent on Discord-

there is a problem in my life rn that i can't tell here
its like sometimes im like "ok ts doesn't matter" but at another time i randomly worry a lot about it and become suicidal, and some time after that i still keep worrying, and then after a while it becomes normal again and I don't care much anymore, and this just repeats
so im just waiting a few days to see if this problem is really a problem or not
if its not a permanent problem I won't rope but if it seems to be permanent i will
im on sanctioned-suicide.net asking for advice on roping and stuff just in case i do need to rope

I'm awfully similar. I tend to dwell within my own mind, constantly bouncing between reason and sheer panic.

I know they're just blind words of comfort, but just remember that things are always worse in your head than they are in reality. Best of luck with it though
