• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Some months ago I had randomly picked up some rope in case I needed to plan B (ctb)
It's 10mm (20m long) sisal rope. I'm hoping full suspension is possible with it as I feel SI would more likely prevent me from doing partial.

I'm not ready to go just yet, but I want to make sure everything's sorted out in case I need to ctb.
Thanks. (Sorry if this type of rope has already been discussed before)

I believe that is more ornamental. Rope in name only.
The best is 1/2 inch double braided dock line. Other smooth, 1/2 inch rope should be ok.
Avoid the cheap, course poly rope (often yellow). It does not hold knots.

Image will not upload.

That sucks. At least it's better to know now than to try it out and mess up.
Currently I don't have the money to go around looking for specific kind of rope. I'll either wait until I get some or just faceplant some concrete from a decently high enough place.

Don't worry. In today's world you'd be surprised to recognize the incredible resources all around you. Depending on what country you're in it doesn't have to cost very much at all. And since this is your life we are talking about here, Id say its worth it right? Not something to joke about if you ask me. There are a lot of people with a walth of knowledge they will happily share, especially something much more simple than it looks. Hanging is truly not more complicated than the right combination of right location, right time, right physics, right equipement, and a bit of practice all combine to create what we think of as good luck and good fortune for a safe passage. Get these right, and you are golden my friend.

Thank you for your question. There are no such thing as stupid questions. The only stupid question is the one not asked.
