Having doctors listen to me and not just dismiss me.
Being able to leave the house.
Getting more than one hours sleep at a time.
Not being chained to the toilet.
Not being in pain.
Being able to trust my family.
Having a place I could call home.
Being able to work.
Having a dog.

Actually, I don't want to die and I'm trying to live. It's just not working. I fight the fight knowing that I've already lost.

If I knew that my mental illness would never affect my life and my thoughts would leave me... I would still CTB, because I already gave myself one chance, there should not be any space for another. Even If I won a million in a lottery, I would leave myself around 5 grand and would CTB as soon as possible joining a suicide tourism. Even if my mental health problems disappear, the regrets won't fade away and the lost opportunities won't be back. The vanity of existence will still be present, embracing me

Awww. I can't. Big responsibility and I can't look after myself. Couldn't walk a dog or even afford one, so it wouldn't be fair.

Sorry to hear that, they can be an amazing lifeline. She's what gets me up in the morning and forces me to be present, she's a bit of an attention seeker and loves to be in my face 24/7

For me it would need to be the end of my mental illness, I know the minute I lose my dog, my best friend I will ctb. She's all I live for right now and she's 10 so getting on.

Yes, dogs are very smart, monkeys have a good reaction and memory and dolphins have big brains. So I could assume there three species could prosper after we reach a plateau of extinction.
