Is there any way to find the cortid arteries?

Ive felt all around and applied pressure everywhere. I'm skinny so it should be easier for me. I looked at pictures on google and it seems the arteries are below the curve of the jaw? I tried where I feel a pulse and applied pressure with my hands but it says it should take 5 seconds to pass out and I haven't passed out.
