It encourages me. I embrace the idea that there is nothing after death, because it means that nothing can go wrong after dying too. I don't care whats after death as long as I manage to experience it
I see this repeated a lot on here but it sounds insincere. If you and others like you on here view death as basically the equivalent of heaven, then why are you willingly languishing in the equivalent of Hell?

I don't consider death or non-existence a heaven. It is only that, compared to the life I live, to not exist would be a refuge. I persist to languish in this life, this hell, for the same reasons many of us are yet to leave it—lack of reliable/peaceful methods, guilt, or a modicum of hope.
