I hope when I do it that it's viewed that way.

No one's answering my question :(There's one person that I hope views it that way.
Why don't people bother to understand?I don't think "usually" but maybe, sometimes depending on what someone's relationship to the decedent is. Like, if someone left a note that gave that impression it's a pretty big clue to read it as "fuck off" or a last act of aggression - but I feel like with how much people avoid even trying to understand suicides a lot get painted with the same "poor them" brush.
Why don't the others think of the individual's suffering?I don't think most people see it as a "fuck you" necessarily, but as selfish, like the person who ctb'ed just didn't take into consideration how it would affect others.
So the assholes of our lives will interpret it as a "fuck you"? That's goodIt really depends on each person's personality, and I'm sure some people will take it that way, and make it about themselves. Likely the people that were insensitive and selfish toward us during our lives.
What does jumping off a bridge tell people? The "what if" is egoistic nonsense on their part.I definitely think it depends on the relationship or if a note is left. For many left behind, the "What if?" question is asked over and over again. A large number of family members seem to believe the person fought as hard as they could, and they were now at peace. People want an answer, and to understand.
I think the method could also make a statement, like a suicide bomber.
How do you plan on framing it as a message?I know it's not right, but it's part of my plan, to be perfectly honest. Once I decided to go (for my own reasons), I also decided to frame it as a message to the people who put me in this place. It's quite possible my death won't mean a thing to them, but honestly, I think it will.
They reveal their own selfishness, veiled as concern and compassion.Whenever I've tried to have a discussion with anyone about CTB, all I hear is how selfish an act it is, you'll destroy your family, etc. etc. It's like their minds shut down when I try to describe the horror that so many people live with until finally, it's no longer possible.
The day that I've picked is a day of significance to my oppressor and it will stay with him forever. My preferred venue is also a message, but that's up in the air at the moment. I also plan on sending messages and posting an open letter. I don't want to go without having my say.How do you plan on framing it as a message?
People have the weird notion that just because they don't talk about it means they don't think about it either. Oh it's definitely thought about for years. I can assure everyone of that.not that I've seen. most people wont talk about it. if they do it's a sad and awkward moment then the subject is quickly changed. it doesn't make the news any more unless it was a celebrity or otherwise a big deal.
Yeah. But I am selfish so I don't care. They could even engrave it on my tombstone lolI think it's more viewed as selfish and a " I don't care about how you will feel after I die and I'll leave you alone" sort of thing. Even tho it's not always like that obviously
Because THEY are selfish. Why don't the others think of the individual's suffering?
1. They're not as empathetic as they think they areWhy don't people bother to understand?
