Hi all,

I haven't been on here a lot and have had a sealed bottle (albeit it clumped) of SN and was wondering if it's still good AND if it's a viable method.

Thank you.

In what conditions was it stored? At this point SN is still viable, most concern comes from obtaining it, which (obviously) wont be a problem for you. Make sure its sodium nitrite, not nitrate. Hope everything goes well for you, feel free to scroll around to get accustomed to the site. Also, check the SN thread up top for more info.

Do the aquarium test and check how pure it still is.

SN rarely actually goes bad. It can degrade over time, but it is so toxic that it doesn't really matter. Especially since it's sealed, I think you're good. If being safe, aquarium test.

How long ago did you buy it, have you opened it?

In the closet? But it was in a plastic bottle.

I can't afford to do that unless I am ready. But noted, thank you.

Thanks.
I think you can test it to check? But long as it was sealed and not left in sun or a hot place I think it would be good. This post has some good info: https://sanctionedsuicide.site/threads/stability-of-sn-and-n.151639/
Thank you!
