Is shooting yourself in the neck more effective than the head?

A lot of people are saying that Charlie Kirk's injury was completely incompatible with life and that he was dead before he even hit the ground. He likely never even knew what hit him.

My question is: assuming you are able to overcome SI, does shooting yourself in the neck actually guarauntee the highest chance of instantaneous death as opposed to aiming for the head?

Charlie was hit a by a sniper round which would have killed him regardless of whether it hit his head or chest or neck. Hand gun rounds aren't so powerful. Head is the safest option.

it was from 200 yards. after 200 yards the bullet lost a huge amount of power and energy. a contact shot to the head would explode the head if I hit my head not my face.

this was a rifle round. much more power and energy than a handgun . shotgun also very powerful. but even a handgun if aimed right to the head can kill me.
