if you are biologically AFAB, and you got periods, can it be the cause of feeling like absolute shit and extremely suicidal some days for no reason or you need to have depression at first to flare that up on "those" days

I don't think this applies in my case since I've had thoughts about wanting to die since prior to me even having me first period. A lot of the stuff that I experienced, such as fluctuations in my mood and suicidal and self-destructive thoughts and urges, seems to occur independent of my menstrual cycle. I also have PCOS and have an irregular cycle and during the times when I'm not seeing my period for up to 90 days, I don't find much of a difference in my suicidality. When my menstrual cycle does impact my emotions (which does not happen too often), it usually just causes me to feel slightly more moody than usual.

i also have suicidal thoughts even when my menstrual cycle is not there, and i been told by a therapist that i showed extreme signs of depression before my mother made me quit cause "it was a waste of money for her'', i kind of asked that question because my family recently says that ''it's because of my periods" which makes me really insecure about it

At the end of the day, you know your mental state better than they do because you are you. I know it's easier said than done, but you shouldn't let their attempts to try and brush your suicidal thoughts off as you "just being on your period" get to you.

Yes, there is a condition called PMDD which can cause extreme moods and suicidality. I don't know whether or not it is treatable medically, but it might be helpful to know it exists and is caused by the fluctuation of hormones at different stages of the menstrual cycle.

However if your family is dismissing your distress as "just periods" that's not OK. You deserve to have it taken seriously. Also "just hormones" is so unkind and also stupid. We are all only bags of hormones, and they effect us profoundly. We can't choose to turn them off and on!
