I am wondering on the painfulness of full- and partial hanging.
If you put the rope on your carotid arteries shouldn't the death just feel like blacking out and then never coming back from it?
Or do you black out and then could die from strangulation?
If you want to do it as painless as possible what do you have too look out for?

I think if you were high, drunk or otherwise in another state of mind then it would decrease the pain of the act itself and the reality of the situation. Hanging yourself will only be painless if it's precise, AKA if you snapped your spine/neck vertebrae. Though this only happens once in a blue moon really, and the most you will suffer is strangulation once you do hang yourself. If you somehow fell asleep while hanging yourself then maybe? but it's unlikely to be at all painless.

Partial isn't about choking, it's about cutting the bloodflow to the brain. I've had 2 attempts with it and they were both pretty much painless.

You don't need to answer if it is uncomfortable, I am just interested in what to look out for.
How exactly did you survive and which position and objects did you use and how exactly did it feel?
No. I attempted to hang myself when i was 16 it is very painful you are literally choking to death.
You also don't need to answer if it is uncomfortable.
Did you try to restrict your carotid arteries or strangle your neck?
If your plan was to restrict your carotid did it slip of to other places of the neck?
Did you do full or partial?
How did you survive?

Most Drugs that numb physical pain will probably numb you too much too hang yourself and then don't block all the hanging pain completely probably.
Maybe you could place yourself somehow on something where you have to hold yourself and if not you will hang and then inject propofol so you are in a coma and then die by hanging but propofol is too expensive.
I thought maybe using a local anesthetic on the neck could work but I have no about about local anesthics so maybe this is dumb.

I am not talking about snapping your spine, I thought if it constantly restricts your carotid arteries you can't feel pain but I don't know for sure that is why I am asking.

How should you fall asleep while hanging?
May consider to take some benzo?
Benzos don't really numb physical pain much.
Partial isn't about choking, it's about cutting the bloodflow to the brain. I've had 2 attempts with it and they were both pretty much painless.
So if partial done right you will just black out and that's it?
What if you do full and place the knot on the carotid arteries, wouldn't that have the same result?

When I attempted it was a very fast spur of the moment thing i grabbed strong electrical cord and tied it around a doornob put it around my throat and put my weight into it. I survived because i thought i heard my mother come home but i was wrong. I felt it pull on my throat but that was about it other than not being able to breathe

I want to add im not sure if i did it right or set it up right like i said i had the thought to do it and didnt even think just grabbed stuff i thought would work

When I attempted a few years ago, it felt like I was falling asleep very quickly. It also felt like my whole body was going numb at the same time, most noticeably in my limbs (I assume it was because of the lack of bloodflow).

I'm a thrasher. I guess I'd moved around enough and quickly enough for the belts to detach from my structure because I found myself on the floor shortly after passing out. Took me a while to reorient myself. I didn't fully understand how partial worked back then and didn't take the involuntary movement into account.

I know better now, and I've taken the time to carefully attach my belts to my structure and tested them out so they won't detach, even with the thrashing. Best of luck, and take care.

I notice warm , tingly , a little dizzy.
Flush feeling in my .face , ears , head.
Slight pain in throat.
Didn't hit limbs yet.
Still practicing method.
Keep on making a funny noise with my nose. And take off pressure.

I didn't even think of this.
Black out = body movement?
I have a door. ( bathroom. So I'm in between sink and toilet looking at tub )
electrical cord wrapped/tied around door knob.
Cord over the door.
Me on other side. Slipknot.
Trying standing and kneeling.
Push forward , pressure tightens.
( will be adding booze / old meds / hopefully drugs to the mix )

What's your structure ?

Which exact position would you use for partial?
And what would you do to restrict your SI? The only thing I can think of is tying your arm and legs.

What's your structure ?
How exactly do you tie the hitch knot on the other side of the door?
Does your door have a lever or knob?

Been trying tippy toes leaning forward
(Just to see pressure)

On knees leaning forward
(seems more likely, can control and hold force longer )
And what would you do to restrict your SI? The only thing I can think of is tying your arm and legs.
I was thinking of this to after dude up there said about thrashing around.
Not sure yet.
I know if I'm u der the influence of a mixture of things I can apply enough pressure till I pass out.
I just keep stopping because I make a super weird nose noise and completely sober.

Door know.
I just take the cord like a shoe lace
Cross it over. Then wrap once and knot

I was trying with a constrictor knot before but think that only works with ropes

I suppose it depends upon what you use to hang yourself with (rope, belt etc.) and whether you're able to compress your carotid correctly. Achieving the latter ensures that you pass out from cutting off blood supply to the brain before you choke to death.

This method crossed my mind before as all my heroes used this method to complete ctb and upon conducting my own research I found out that most people succeed using this method. I heard that's it's one of the fastest methods to complete ctb, like within minutes….

If you can you must do it from a height at least twice your body and have the knot under your chin and drop. It will compress your spine and sever it. Quick and painless.

My partial attempts were completely painless when I drifted off. However the flip side is your survival instinct will kick in.

Can't you just tie your knees and hands to make it hard to stop the process of surviving?
