I already have one and now I'm just trying to talk myself into following through. I have other preparations I need to make, but I'm still hesitant because I'm worried about pain. I know I need to hit my brain stem, but should I aim from the side or the front? I don't want my last moments to be choking on my own blood or to be resuscitated and finding info on this seems hard. Anyone have any knowledge on this?

Depending on the type of gun you use (I don't have much knowledge of guns). Shotgun I believe has highest rate without feeling pain. Handgun, not so sure. If you miss and only damage partially, it would cause you pain, but people say it's hardly likely if done correctly.

What type of gun do you have? Caliber? Type of bullet?

No one can tell you that who has been successful. However if for what ever reason the attempt fails I'm sure there is alot of pain and suffering for a long time. Do your research and homework. Not a method to mess up on.

The brain has no pain receptors, so technically it can't hurt. The blood vessels and other structures however can, that's where headaches come from. I haven't read testimonials from people who survived gunshots so I may be wrong, but based on theory alone, a well aimed shot shouldn't be worse than a very momentary headache. If the stem is destroyed, not even that, because the pain processing area has been destroyed.

Agree. You've probably had worse pain from a bad headache, if done correctly and successfully. Lots of pain and emotional fallout, however, if it fails. But success rate generally is high.

I've read a lot of stories of shooting survivors (not self inflicted though) that it feels more of a burning sensation rather than any pain associated with it, but most of these accounts were from the body instead of the head. Watch @johua.d on tiktok he's a gun ctb survivor and as some good info about everything, from the feeling, smell, recovery, type of gun, etc. But of course no one knows what it feels like when it's successful for obvious reasons. I hope whatever you're going through passes and you won't have to leave the world this way though ❤️
