Is bleeding out from the radial artery a reliable way to CTB or is it just a media thing? I'm really curious :,)

Yes it is possible. A medical grade scalpel can hit it *if* the blade goes deep enough (past subcutaneous tissue). Not vertical across the artery, but horizontal— following it.

But it is fucking really painful.

You can die this way, but realistically it is very very unlikely and hard due to how deep it is and how painful it is. It looks very dramatic though so media uses it a lot

It depends: are you already a cutter? If you're already normalized to making deep cuts, I'd imagine you should be able to do it. If you're not a cutter, be prepared to have every instinct in your body physically prevent you from slashing the artery. Would bleeding from the radial artery cause death? That's beyond my knowledge but I'm confident that if the neck arteries are properly severed the brain should go unconscious in under a minute and die shortly after, so arteries are no joke!

I met a guy on the psych ward with a deep scar from his attempt to bleed out. It made me feel very unserious.

Do you know what went wrong? I'm currently looking into a backup solution with cutting of arteries on the feet.

Shouldn't this be doable, with numbing-cremes?

Numbing cream only works up to a certain depth and I'd be concerned it wouldn't be able to numb the whole artery and only work on the "top" part without numbing the "bottom" of it. Also, even if it did get numb, you are still fighting some really strong SI

It does happen but coming from my own experience it doesn't work even if you have enough force or anger. It's really unreliable even with blood thinners and chemicals to stop feeling that pain. It's extremely agonizing. I don't recommend doing it.

Doctors saved him, something about taking blood out of the bone marrow in his legs, sounded like he was close
