Discussion Is choosing to live rational?

I made a post similar asking if ctb is always rational. Now thinking about I could've phrased it better.

I think living is irrational because there is bound to be suffering aslong as you are alive.
I also think death is neutral since you will not experience anything.

It's only rational if you have the right options meaning if you can envision a future for yourself and life is worth living then yes it is rational but if you're completely out of options and there's no prerogative then that's when it's irrational

I enjoy watching my favorite shows, listening to music, eating and traveling. I don't even have a partner or extremely wealth yet i enjoy life to certain extent. It's just that life can sometimes be too cruel giving you one problem on top of another with no real way of solving it and the uncertainty of how people will treat you. I'd say most of the time it's rational to live if you're physically and mentally fit. But if you're unlucky then it's a whole different story

First off; most 'normal' people (don't mean to offend, and I include myself in the abnormal category) do not ideate dying as much as we do, if at all. Secondly; most 'normal' people find purpose and fufilment in human life and take the suffering for granted. I think it's all about balance. I'm definitely out of balance and am therefore here.

Living is not inherenty rational. It's biological. The fear of death outweighs the suffering for the majority of people, so they continue. Or they have a happy life. Idk what that looks like but it seems to be a thing.

Life may not be worth living in the moment, but you do not know for sure what the future will look like. I do not view choosing to live or choosing to die as irrational. As long as you think through your options and make a conscious choice there should be no judgement passed on whichever path you choose. I know that I will eventually choose to die, but for right now, in this moment, I am choosing to live. The choice I am making now is rational. When my time comes to die, that choice too will be rational.

Normal people don't have happy lifes either trust me.
They are just too wrapped up in religion or have too much hope.
And They are scared of death.

Said it before and say it again, quality vs quantity of life.

With 24/7 chronic pain if and when quantity overtake quality then decisions will be made.

With 2 attempts, both were not rational, knee jerk, spot of the moment type, never would do that again, but also do not have a gambling addict living with me anymore.

For me it could never be, for me only ceasing to exist could ever be as after all there are no disadvantages to never suffering ever again yet there is no limit as to how much one can be tortured in this terrible, dreadful existence of futile suffering that I just always saw as a mistake. To suffer in this existence will just always be an abomination to me and I wish I never suffered in this terrible, torturous existence more than anything, I'll just always see existence as the problem and it's one only non-existence can solve for me.

I'll always see it as so unnecessary and futile to suffer in this existence and never existing would had saved me from all this suffering in this existence so dreadful that just tortures existing beings all for the sake of it, it's just so terrible and horrible how a human can be tortured in this existence for decades longer just for one to face the dreadful extreme agony of old age, to me existing will always just be waiting to die.
