I'll sound crazy but hear me out. I'm not a Buddhist, but I like philosophy, and I think it's probably correct. Attachment causes suffering, therefore life is suffering. So if we ctb, aren't we giving up all of our attachments and, according to Buddhist ideas, better off?
This is more of a thought experiment than anything else but I am curious to hear what you guys think.

I've said it at least 20 times on here: there's a shortcut to nirvana, & Cobain took it. The Buddha got the diagnosis of the disease right, but he was too much of an Indian pussy to admit that suicide is the only cure.

As with all mainstream religion, the real goal is to get rid of excess males (monks, priests, etc) whilst simultaneously promoting pro-social values. I doubt any monks would promote suicide, from what I've seen it's claimed to "disrupt" karma and decrease your chances of good reincarnation.

There are many many schools of Buddhism, so not exactly. Zen Buddhism in particular has received criticism for the connection it had to kamikaze bombers. I think most proponents of Buddhism would say killing yourself in a state of despair or depression doesn't quite mesh with their spiritual concept of letting go of earthly attachments. It is a little interesting though that some of the most Buddhist countries have extremely high suicide rates. Although most people in said countries aren't religious.

Buddhism is actually against suicide, so I read.

Since the main objective of Buddhism is enlightenment and Siddhartha refused to die when he became enlightened.

I'll see if I can find something about this. But as I recall, it's against suicide.

There is few religions, such as Shintoism that it's not pro suicide but also not against.

Although most religious, even catholicism never explicitly say something against suicide. It's always added later.

Edit:

For Buddhists, since the first precept is to refrain from the destruction of life, including one's self, suicide is seen as a negative act. If someone commits suicide in anger, he may be reborn in a sorrowful realm due to negative final thoughts.[6][7] Nevertheless, Buddhism does not condemn suicide without exception, but rather observes that the reasons for suicide are often negative and thus counteract the path to enlightenment.[8] With that said, in thousands of years of Buddhist history, very few exceptions are found.

But in the Buddhist tale of a bhikkhu named Vakkali who was extremely ill and racked with excruciating pain. He was said to have died by suicide when near death and upon making statements suggesting he had passed beyond desires (and thus perhaps an arhant).[9] Self-euthanasia appears the context for his death.

Very few religions such as Shintoism in Japan view suicide as neither positive or negative.

I'd like to add that in the same Buddhist texts that describe afterlives, people are literally flying due to being proficient in meditation and angels are sometimes appearing, even talking to monks and shit.

Karma police is just as non existent as regular police.

Sometimes they fire some blind shots that either hits the wrong target or hits nothing.

Karmacoma

See me digging a grave
For myself in my hood
I'm crazy, but I'm not lazy
If I can't get high, I need to die, I need to
I got mind troubles that must be seen to
Meanwhile, where there's desire, there's treats
When I fuck the Buddha, he feels my beats
To drink or to meditate on a daily basis?
Don't meditate, don't hesitate, accelerate
Suck on gunfire, detaching from desire
Can only prolong this sad state of stasis
There's no logical basis for this state of stasis

I never heard buddha being pro suicide, but I know many of his disciples caught the bus. I was into buddhism at that point, but I couldn't wait for after death to achieve nirvana. I was too impatient and sceptic.

Since I do not see anyway out of this mess, as long as I am here, I started consider to consider ctb.

So what you are saying is, no use as larping as an indian skinhead in a lotus position "Ohmmm" like they are Ohm's law worshippers and then ctb acfording to their own prejudices? Aww religion is a fuddy duddy.

I was hoping for a disposable community here, but we didn't have Heavens' gate in Europe :(
