I just think that it would help me calm down, a nice ritual to do to take my mind off of the fear before the final brink.

It's just that it's actually a body I love. Something I feel has been there for me in spite of not getting the best treatment. Strong legs and strong heart. Very pretty hands. It's served me well, as much as it could under the circumstances.

Unless it's your family or friends it will be some heartless unfeeling goons. Look at the guy who shot his head off. No one even bothered to go over to what was left of him. They didn't care. Thats what it will be to them. Look as pretty as you want no one will care. Their job is to scoop up a corpse and cart it to the morgue to a freezer.

This is too true it actually kind of hurts to know for me, for some reason. I have seen people treat the dead pretty badly. Not caring in the least...

I have taken bodies to the basement (THE BASEMENT IS THE MORGUE), and seen some people toss them in the freezer in what I thought was a very rude and disrespectful way when they were doing it.

I always tried to be respectful of the dead.

In olden times, it was the family that took care of the body, and they did it with respect usually. Washing it and put the best clothes on it and displayed it briefly nicely laid out. It was one of their own and they handled it with love.

I don't care much how my hair, beard and body hair are going to look but I will try to be clean and wear a pleasing t-shirt and boxer. But I do still think ppl will be disgusted especially those involving in autopsy since they will see and touch my naked body. I worry about this.

As someone who's performed postmortem care quite a few times, those in the profession are not disgusted by it, don't worry.

I was never a beauty in my 'best' days, then I got uglier and cared less and less about my appearance as I got sick(er) and older...so I can't bring myself to care what I look like when I'm dead. People never really look like themselves when dead anyway, and depending on method used - or if you pass from a natural cause, or accident, or whatever - and how long until you're found and other factors like temperature, etc, you're not going to be looking good anyway. I understand romanticizing the idea of being found though. Everyone wants to be seen and/or remembered as beautiful, or at least not offensive. It's just personally I don't care. I am a decrepit shell of what I was before (and 'before' wasn't much to look at to begin with) so trying to look good for when I'm found seems like a waste of effort for me. Plus anyone who finds me won't be family or friends, and they're not going to care what I look like, and I'm not going to have any kind of funeral or memorial service of any kind either - straight to cremation for me. So maybe I'll wear a gorilla suit or shave my head totally bald or wear fake vampire teeth when I ctb. None of it matters in the end (in my case).

I do plan to look normal, but won't make special effort.

I was found early when I tried to do it last year.
My jumper and coat was just cut off of me so that lines could be inserted.

I doubt they would attempt this if they found you dead though.

Yes! I'm most concerned with what my body looks like when I'm found, because I don't want to give anyone nightmares. Which is why I'm still torn on my method.

I'm also still deciding what I want to wear. I'm definitely gonna do my make up and, I'll prepare a kit of my favorite make-up products and outfit for my funeral. I've been made to feel ugly so often, that styling my self, the way I like to look, is a form of empowerment for me. So is ctb.
It bothers me a little bit, that I can't do my make up for my funeral though haha but at least I hope that my products will be used.

Yep, I even lost 10 kg in the past few months to look better when I'm found. A few weeks ago I got a haircut but never went through with CTB. So Guess I'll be going for another haircut soon. I shower, shave, wash my teeth etc/ every day any way.

What to do about the fact that your bowels and bladder will empty and your method may disfigure you or you may end up with vomit everywhere clutching at the edge of your bed? So no matter how you look the smell will be horrible.

No, but I advise everyone to make an enema, so you wont have shit your pants and whoever finds your body will have an easier time.
Also dudes should jerk off beforr CTB as there is a chance that you will wet your pants.

I'm sure if you knew what happens to corpses you wouldn't bother to pretty yourselves up. You are going to look ghastly especially if they autopsy you. They slice you up like a Thanksgiving turkey.

If you get taken to a funeral home it is there that they paint your face, arrange your hair or put a wig on you and dress you. They do a remarkable job much of the time, better than you can do even.

But putrifaction quickly sets in, so you won't stay looking good for long.

I know what decomposition does, and I still want to feel pretty lol
