Is academia a ponzi scheme?

With AI the students have their own slaves. But the students are not included in this pyramid actually.

When I started college I thought scientist must be such a cool job. But I was so wrong. PhD candidates sound like slaves. And even extremely hard-working, talented people can get crushed. It is very much luck dependent.

But is being a NEET actually better than this? Idk. If I was completely certain I had enough money I would go for that.

Idk my initial reaction is… As a bureaucracy academia isn't very forthcoming. It doesn't really care who you are, what you know, what you're capable of. Its all very mass producing oriented. And this is something to which a mind like mine doesn't do very well.
