  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I don't think I'm going to be able to buy one online because I live at home and it could raise some suspicion,

From what I've seen, people generally recommend rope about 1/2" in width. 10mm is about 0.39 inches, so I would think based on width alone it would be ok.

There's other factors though. What is the material? Rope made of natural fiber is generally preferred to synethic. What is the strength rated to? Most rope should be tested to a "safe" weight capacity. If your rope is tested to a capacity of 175lbs, that might be enough if you weight 150lbs but it also could not be enough if you weigh 200lbs.

will work but hurt pretty bad. switched to 12 mm and padding. even 12mm without padding hurts too much for me.
partial that is. full will be more pressure on the neck. thicker is more comfy. but not to thick or the knots wont close well

have some tries with partial. don't attach the rope. throw it over a door and hold the other end in your hand or you might be gone earlier than you want. see how it feels pain wise and adjust from there

Hm..I saw other members also saying that natural fiber is better than synthetic. Could you tell me why?

Natural fiber ropes are generally have less strength than synthetic ones but natural might be more comfortable or easy to access. As long as the rope can hold at least 2x your weight (most 1/2 do) then your fine.
