Discussion Is 12 gauge shotgun the best?

Can a 12 gauge shotgun aimed at the soft palate miss? Speaking to a medical examiner, he tells me that it is extremely devastating and if aimed in that area, in his opinion, there is no survival. What do you think?

Most likely if you aim right without issue. The brain and body can survive some pretty devastating injuries but a 12 gauge to the brain stem is more than sufficient. Shotguns leave a pretty horrific aftermath though so keep that in mind. For some people traumatic or violent suicide methods can increase SI. Plus it's also not a pretty sight for any bystanders or emergency responders or coroners, it can definitely leave innocent people traumatized. Not everyone cares about that kind of thing though.

Not trying to steer you toward or away from CTB with a shotgun, but you may want to check out watchpeopledie.tv- you can see the results when people kill themselves with shotguns. There are videos where they were successful and videos where they weren't.

I used to think that a 12-Ga was the way to go. Now am considering a nitrogen bag of SN.

I've posted this many times, but I know if I'm serious, shotgun is the way. Extremely low chance of vegetable life. Of course I would much rather just go to sleep and have no tomorrow.

It's one of the most extreme options, in my opinion. It'll definitely work and there's pretty much no chance of survival, but the aftermath it will leave will be devastating. Trust me, I've seen pictures of some of the people who used those type of shotguns. Just nah.

I agree. I'd much rather take my chances with a pistol than a shotgun. All it took was seeing one picture of the aftermath for me to be like oh HELL no!
