  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

How do I know if I've been involuntarily hospitalized so that I can't purchase a gun anymore? They took me to the psych ward a few times and then inpatient, but I don't know if that meant I was being forced

Most likely those were involuntary holds if you were taken to the ward and you didn't go yourself.

Sometimes it's a little confusing though. I've been involuntarily transferred to wards, but was given the option to voluntarily commit myself once there (even though I reckon this is bullshit).

Not sure how they will respond if you try and purchase a firearm. I don't even bother to try, myself.

Can you get your records pulled? You should be entitled to your records I would think.

Try and lie? (if they've asked if you've ever been in a psych ward, for example). I don't know the laws but it's possible that there's a threshold where something goes on your record that's tracked digitally. It would be nice to know if that's discoverable ahead of time, however!

I got arrested when I tried to buy one.
