I've seen the angles needed to ctb, but should you put the barrel at the front of your mouth aimed up, or put the barrel further back in the mouth to hit the brainstem?

No expert but wouldn't it be easier to not mess up by holding it to the side of the head? Better control over aiming it would seem to me. Seems like mouth would risk the wrong angle much more easily. Hugsss

I feel like it will be so much harder to hold the shotgun from the side compared to pinned to the ground facing up :/

imo deep in the mouth against the soft palate pointed up as in a diagonal angle 45 degrees aiming for brain stem.

Are you aiming for medulla oblongata, or just general brain stem?

A shotgun in the mouth is going to do it period. My grandfather committed suicide this way and he had no training and certainly no internet to help him. See the Ronnie McNutt video there will be nothing left to save.

I'm just worried if I miss the brainstem/medulla, there will be a chance I miss the brain too and don't die and experience tons of pain

From what i understand u should aim for the brainstem. Using a shotgun i dont think it matters all that much where u aim because a shot to the head is still most likely going to ensure u hit something important. U have around 90% chance to CTB with a firegun so i wouldnt worry to much about u actually surviving it. For holding the weapon it matters how u find comfortable it can be facing up like u said just aim for the brainstem and u will be dead before u even know it. Good luck and much love 🤗

i would aim for the medulla. but even if i hit the pons or circle of willis i'm also dead. imo with the most powerful magnum slugs or rifle ammunition even from 2 inches away the shockwave would kill the brain stem or arteries supplying the brain stem like the circle of willis and other blood vessels. .the shockwave of so much power from a shotgun or rifle will explode the head imo with magnum slugs or rifle bullets , the higher velocity and higher energy the more likely Death.

see the soft palate is only about 4 inches away from the brain stem

i would search for 3 inch magnum slugs 12 gauge if using a shotgun

What's the circle of Willis? Im planning on this Thursday or Friday to do it with a 12 gauge; the shell has a 4 on it. I'm worried I'm going to get the wrong angle or be off center and fuck it up.

i think he uses 3 inch magnum 00 buckshot in this video at 4:29 , but 3 inch magun slugs would also do the same :

45 degree angle? Why did I see a post by another user saying to do a 15 degree angle? Were they incorrect?

Also, how are you supposed to measure to know that your angle is correct? (with handgun not shotgun.)

Either angle would work. Main thing is practicing dry firing without ammunition to prevent flinching before shooting. Can't practice dry firing enough. Also practice a lot shooting at the range with live ammunition.

The above video has a bullet traveling at 2300 feet per second and shoes the damage it can do. That's baby stuff compared with what I have and people cn get 3000 feet per second ammunition in the right rifle

I doubt it will make any difference with a shotgun and appropriate shell how you angle the barrel, or how far in the mouth you place it. It's going to blow out the entire back of your head and take out everything between the barrel and gaping hole in the back of your skull.
