Doubt they will put me in jail because they'll not want to pay my healthcare. This. There is no international police effort (which is what Interpol is about), but just Interpol Uruguay doing PR statement because or NYT article. NYT put them in spotlight by accusing Uruguayan citizen. Interpol Uruguay had to say that they are doing everything in their power and all the other stuff.

I don't use VPN, why would I ?. How is talking about our lives, our fears, anxiety and possibly ending life illegal. We could contact any number of suicide heplines and that's legal.

Me too I mostly been lurking here but got worried over this. The truth is there's no legal case for any of it. I just heard the conversation with Kara Swisher. There's nothing that can be done like that it's all just theater BUT some of the tech companies might make it really hard to stay up. Not all of them though.

Im sure you'd be right but to be honest, although most members abide by rules, etc, i have read some postings that make me cringe with concern.

Some comments on social media could be interpreted as aiding someone. Remarks like ' drop dead' , 'take a run and jump' or ' why dont you die' maybe taken literally by authorities and users alike .

There is nothing illegal going on here, I'm sure many authorities have already investigated this place countless times, if there was anything actually against the law here actions would be taken, but they have not and will not.

People have decided to commit suicide on their own, no one encouraged them, some place providing information about methods is not encouragement or a crime, with the laws in most countries, you can be assured of that. No one made them buy SN. No one made them drink it. That's a personal choice and no one on this website has anything to do with that.

If simply detailing methods was a crime, then the Wikipedia entry, one of the most accessed sites in the world, on suicide methods would not exist, for example.
