That's a lot of containers! It's odd how the ship doesn't sink. I know why it doesn't sink but my mind just automatically thinks "Something that heavy and full must sink".That is similar to the Ever Given, the ship that got stuck in the canal. [Editing to add picture.]

They DID. Then it had to stay anchored in the "Great Bitter Lake" for a long time while they fought in court about how much the owners had to pay Egypt. Eventually it was able to complete its original trip. And they ARE widening that part of the canal now.That's a lot of containers! It's odd how the ship doesn't sink. I had already forgotten about that ship. I hope they got it out in the end. I wish they could have built a second route, but I read that it's pretty hard to build another canal or widen the current canal.
