Impulsively tried ligature strangulation, didn't work.

I pulled so incredibly tight but it didn't hit my carotid. I spent at least an hour playing around with different knots, and got no where. It's so hard to reliably find a position that pushes just on the arteries and nothing else. Its rare that I can get some good constriction, but when I do get it it usually makes my head feel its going to explode, which means I'm doing something wrong apparently.

\Does this make that a suicide attempt? I was thinking "i'd like to get close to death but not sure about following through." The SI is so invisible sometimes, these second guesses make me doubt I'm actually attempting suicide.

But still, I tried so hard and got nowhere. I pulled so so hard. I tied the right knots. I'm doing something wrong. I want death now. I want the peace.\

You right about SI sometimes being invisible. Every so often, I just grab a tie and try to strangle myself. It's probably because I know it won't work but ffs why is it such hard work to ctb???

by ligature strangulation your only goal is blocking trachea and suffocating yourself. With the positions you try to strangle and that u are applying pressure on your own u cant block every artery. Even if u are successful in blocking the cartoid and all the veins the blood coming from veterbal gets stuck in your brain hence the "exploding" head feeling.

And yeah i also think it counts as an attempt. Wishing u peace
