They said i was never supposed to take them forever and they made me gain some weight and stuff
They didn't offer to prescribe you anything else? I'm lowkey kinda worried that's gonna happen to me too. I'm glad something medical worked well for you tho, that's a good sign I think

If you don't like it without being on the antidepressants, go back on them.

Some people say that once you get this illness, you have to take medication for life. It's hard to imagine how powerless modern medicine can be against mental illness. my depression got worse day by day.Maybe you should take your medicine regularly according to the instructions.

Speaking from personal experience – I've taken quite a few antidepressants and am currently on three – if you withdraw medication from someone with depression, you're effectively pushing them back down into the depths of a pit.

It's not just that many symptoms of depression return, but that brain chemistry becomes unregulated once more. I hope you've tapered off the medication gradually, because withdrawal symptoms can be really serious and far from pleasant (especially with venlafaxine).

On the other hand, at least for me – as someone who's hypersensitive – I start feeling everything all at once again, with everything that entails: anxiety attacks, panic attacks, the sound that pierces right through you…

Antidepressants make me feel much more emotionally flat, but I've stopped taking them several times – or they've been taken off me – and I've really struggled. I wouldn't recommend doing it at all, but it's up to each individual.
