I give a lot and get little in return...or I talk to people and suddenly hear nothing more (I'm not talking about romance, just friendly conversation).

In short, this society where we consume human beings is depressing...we take, we throw away. It doesn't make me want to have relationships...

since I'm isolated, I try, but it's not encouraging at all...when others ghost you or only come back to ask for a favor.

I believe that much of it comes down to invisible, systematic rules that make people behave the way you experience them. I feel the same way, I've often been disappointed too and sometimes I can't blame them

Most people scare me. I'm at the point now where I just want to avoid people as much as possible out of fear of being hurt again and again.

It honestly sucks, feels like everyone is so disconnected from each other despite having more opportunities to be connected to others than ever. It is truly dystopic. I've noticed something however, usually my best friends are the ones that I don't talk to as often but we're keeping in touch from time to time. They are super loyal and drop everything for you if you're feeling down.

I hope you get to meet people who appreciate you <3

my general solution to the disappointment that is other people is to emotionally remain distant enough that their inevitable failure isn't such an unexpected thing. Is that a healthy attachment style in annnny way? No. But I'm sick of being repeatedly reminded that the bare minimum i'd like out of the few people i think are worth talking to is apparently 'too much' to be met by literally anyone. Which, honestly isn't that much, I imagine? I'd just like some reciprocity. But those who think they can take advantage of my willingness to invest time into them, and believe I'm there to stroke their fucking ego and sooth their crippling insecurities to the detriment of my own emotional wellbeing-- well, I figure most of them are like that. Makes me angry enough to forget their names and pity them.

Unfortunately even for people I dooo think are great and do seem to care, I split frequently because I am repeatedly disappointed by their faults, reasonable or otherwise. It seems I'll convince myself of anything as long as I don't have to look at or acknowledge my vulnerabilities... lol
