...or at least not my current classes of mostly maths and physics. Every day when I go to school and sit in class i start getting panic attacks, dissociating, getting bouts of paranoid delusions or all of the above at once. I can't do this shit anymore. I've only been in uni for less than two weeks and I'm already this far gone. I'm such a fucking failure.

It's often sold as the end-all be-all, but truthfully university is not for everyone and it's not the only path towards a good career.

University isn't for everyone. It also might just not be for you right now. It also might get easier as you continue into the semester. It's okay to step back and look at what your options are for withdrawing and thinking about what that would mean. Your university might even have resources to help with that. It doesn't make you a failure to not take this right away or even ever.

I guess I'm going to trade school or something

Not everyone is, and that's okay. Why were you going in the first place?

Maybe something more practical might be it?
I've been thinking about becoming a chef or a plumber or something but my dickhead parents really want me to go to uni and don't understand the pain I'm going through.

1st try: I quit during the first year! Because I didn't like it! First year is boring anyway. It's general knowledge, not the cool stuff, the specializations.
2nd try: I almost quit! Also during the first year. Also because I didn't like it. But my mum told me to power through. So I did. In the end it was kind of meh! Got a decent job though. Which led me to the
3rd try: And yup! This was the charm! I skipped the first year and jumped to the second one. No more general knowledge bullshit. I studied the cool stuff, the specializations: which I loved! I ended up doing what I studied, for ten years. Then I quit. But not because I didn't like what I studied. I loved navigation, I loved travelling. But oh the world is so shit, so focused on speed and making money. I just got tired of it.

Mostly just so that I could move out of my abusive parents house and into a student apartment (which I have and which has been one of the upsides to going to uni) and because I had a pipedream of becoming an engineer even though I am very bad at maths and physics (and I deluded myself into thinking that I would get better).

Can you find a way to stay moved out and still support yourself?

I'm glad it worked out for you, I don't know if it will work for me though.

Trade school is stronger than me. I'm failing a general advanced math class (again) and i'm heading tf out lol but this is also content I actually want to know

Going to trade school would be an option but they don't open for applications until later this year or during the beginning of next year so I'm pretty much stuck in uni until then. My other option is to move back home until trade school opens up but I would honestly rather die than go back there.

Hm maybe you can improve other skills while you are going to uni? And then trade uni or do internships?

What math/physics classes are they?
It's basic high school stuff (I'm doing a recap year because I didn't have these classes in hs) which makes me feel even worse for not being able to do it. This is mathematics and physics for 16 year olds and I'm still failing.

Idk what your school is like, but office hours and tutoring can work wonders. Idk how far you are into the semester, but is it possible to find mentorship or tutoring?

I'm trying to improve my writing abilities while at home but my parents think that it's a waste of time and that I should rather be doing the studying that's making me want to ctb.

I applied for my school's mentorship programme but there is a several week long waiting period to actually get any help.

This! If possible then follow your heart! That was my point. Not going through stuff just because people expect you too.

Then why not stick it out until the trade school opens? University doesn't guarantee a good job anymore (or any job) and the trades can be an excellent option. I wish I'd gotten proper vocational training instead of getting a fairly useless university degree.

I did the same thing. I suffered from psychosis caused by stress when I studied engineering. I switched to something else and it helped and I'm likely going to obtain my degree. Are your parents paying? If they are paying, it sounds pretty viable to switch to something else to appease them so that you don't have to move back in with them. In the meantime, you could draft up a plan for what you do after leaving university.

I'm also suffering from psychosis, but due to different reasons (although the stress sure isn't helping). I live in a country where university is free so my parents aren't paying. I'll either switch to studying something else or drop out and go to trade school next year.

That's the plan for now.

SMH people saying uni is not for everyone when OP clearly needs accessibility and could have a successful life in college is fucking nuts.

"I don't wanna pay taxes"
"Noooo taxes are going to uni so you can join too"
"ok I'm going to uni"
"uni is not for everyone"

I personally didn't read it as signs of a disability, but as signs of stress. But you make a good point, so I'll also try to be helpful here as someone that receives accommodations from my university. I provided proof of diagnosis, and my disability office expects me to come up with my own ideas for reasonable accommodation. For me, this includes: extended time on exams, access to a recording service funded by the university, automatic deadline extensions without penalty as long as I email professor it is due to disability. The disability office will fight for this right on my behalf if I am denied. I hope this helps out.
