Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I was been diagnosed with ADHD when I was nine and wasn't taken as seriously by people who have come to learn of my disability(if it could be considered one in the first place). Embarrassingly enough, I will admit that I to have not taken it seriously as I have then. As I was told all my life that the reason I'm doing all this is because I was lazy and I refuse to put in effort or I expect everyone to do things for me. I didn't really want to be regarded as such, so I've tried hard to get pass all these things but get confused as to why I'm suddenly feel soo burnt when I have just done nothing. I've put in many efforts on bettering myself believing I was just being very lazy. Heck I even felt guilty for feeling very bad about myself considering the fact that I consider myself privileged, I have proper education, I have a loving family, I am lucky enough to see and experience things that many people cannot, so why I can't do better? I tried hard, I put in all the effort into recovery yet its like I'm repeating the same cycle over and over again. Wanting to do things, planning to do things, making promises, but failing to keep up with those very things.

I've repeated a year because I was deemed mentally unwell to proceed to the next level, of my academics. Still, even through all this. Even if my parents love me, they can't take my ADHD seriously. It's especially even harder when I was told by the uni's consultant that I REALLY won't be able to do things without the proper medication and I don't have these meds, I've only recently started taking the proper steps this time on living with ADHD instead of overcoming it.. and I'm scared to lose all my progress, but I find myself falling through the same cycle of not being able to do anything despite wanting to actually do something and it's getting even worse.

From Friday, all the way to Monday. I was glued in bed, unable to get up, unable to sleep, and unable to eat. I had only recently forced myself out of bed, just to take a shower, to eat and to get ready for class, and that took way too much effort than it needed to be. I know people have experienced worse compared to what I've gone through, maybe to them it is nothing. But this is my life and I've only recently experienced something as long as this and I fear this is just the start.

To those who come across this post. I'm sorry if this sounds like I'm whining over nothing, but please do know I yearn for some place to let my true feelings out as I have no one to tell this about irl, not even my parents who are always gone for several months or my siblings who I am not in talking condition with..

Thank you.

I was told by the uni's consultant that I REALLY won't be able to do things without the proper medication and I don't have these meds
Why is that?

Personally I have extreme social phobia and depression, for the last 8 months I take SSRIs and that's the only thing that helps me get out of bed and actually do things and go outside without feeling overwhelmed. Medications can be really helpful for you too.

If you need to talk to someone or just have questions, my PMs are always open. I hope things get better for you.
