I'm jumping tonight.
I dunno if it's gonna kill me, probably won't cos it's only 20ft but this is more self harm than an attempt. If I die that's just bonus

I feel pretty guilty about it and keep wondering if I'll regret it, but the urge is just so high lol

Does anyone know of any stories of people that jumped 20ft? It's a footbridge over a main road. It's 4pm now, I'm gonna go late probably around midnight

i have no right stop someone from doing what they want but i seriously dont think you should do this OP, please. ik you said its a self harm attempt but it could end up very bad. i dont 20ft is enough to die. there is a high chance youll end up way worse off.

Jumping off of 2 stories is not going to kill you, and it's going to get you abducted and into a psych ward. You will forever have that on your permanent record, they might even issue a court order and inject you with long acting anti-psychotics. No one is going to see the context that lead you to make this decision, they will just punish you until you stop the unwanted behaviour. I strongly urge you to reconsider.

I am sorry that you suffer in this way. I understand the wish of self-harm very well because I have BPD.

But I also know how deep you will regret this. And this brakes my heart for you.

A very long time ago I met a girl who jumped from the third floor. This could be 20ft I think? I met her years after her attempt and I don't knew all her medical problems after the attempt, but she was in the wheelchair.

20ft? It will hurt you alright but kill? Unlikely. And as @sorrynormal wrote, they will hurt you more when they find you and in a way you probably don't want to.
As much I'd like you to find a relief, i don't think you're making right choice. Not to mention that damage you might sustain might permanently prevent you form doing anything. Your body will be your prison.

Please listen to us and don't do it. You could end getting amputated, lose eyesight, get brain damage or paralyzed to the point where you cannot even self-harm in other ways let alone attempt a real suicide.

A family member fell from that height more or less and sustained severe injuries, extremely high medical costs for surgeries, rehab etc. Hope you think twice about this one.

What if you crush your pelvis or spine and end up severely disabled?? The likelihood to survive this is pretty high but the consequences may be more severe than you think right now. Nobody can tell you what to do or not to do in the end but please consider this before you do anything rash.

DON'T DO IT.
You don't want to end up paralyzed in a wheelchair and suffer loss of mobility for the rest of your life.
If you have a mental health support person, please talk to them instead. Can you do something positive to get the energy out like a few hours at a gym? Or if you're in a warm place, a hike or a bike ride? Something strenuous that won't ruin the rest of your life?

Nope. Not gonna happen. You WILL break sth. How much - depends on your body. landing zone and landing technique.
As for what can you do instead - sorry, i won't be of much help. Never performed self harm. Not physically at least.

Two stories is a really bad grey area. If you just want to sh, please consider either one story or another method.

If you intend to CTB, please look for something higher, because 2 stories probably won't do it.

Also if you are a minor, your parents can pay to have you abducted and placed into a mental health facility in the middle of nowhere. Do I agree with it.. no! But there's no winning in this system. The best thing you can do is avoid it. The more you 'act out' the more they are going to punish you.

In a normal healthy relationship 'acting out' should be a signal to investigate further into your life, your relationships, and any trauma you may have experienced. But the system DOES NOT work that way. It will be force and punishment until you basically shut up and 'act normal'. Again i don't agree with it and the best thing you can do is empower yourself (money basically) and get the hell away from it.

first of all, drop your jumping plan. listen to all these people please. you will end up at a point past self-harm and before actual death. in short; permanent injuries/disabilities.

I am not encouraging you to harm yourself or anything but don't risk jumping. You cannot control the outcome. Can't you find anything that would give you some relief ? Someone suggested gym or walking. If you must self harm then maybe try something like a rubber band on your wrist and let it snap? Or brush your skin with a brush?

I too have felt the need to just jump out the window of my apartment, but there's no point to it if it doesn't guarantee death.

I went and tried to jump. Got stopped by police and talked my way into them taking me home lol
