I'm gonna ctb in a few hours using ligature strangulation

Something happened that clearly showed me that I have to die, I know that ligature strangulation is really unreliable but this is all I have, I can't do psh or any other method, and I don't have access to any meds, drugs, or SN/KN, this is all I can do. Please, is there anything I should keep in mind ? And tips to make it work, I already wrote the letters and scheduled the messages, so it would be quite embarrassing for me not to die

I've seen plenty videos of women hanging themselves from ceiling fans using only a neck scarf tied around their necks.

They make it look easy but of course we don't see the failed attempts so.

that's full suspension hanging. ligature strangulation is when someone puts uses a shoelace string to compress their arteries to simulate hanging. there have been no threads of it being successful so far.

i don't really think there's a way to make ligature strangulation work if it's an unreliable method to most people that try it. i've attempted with a shoelace string myself but i couldn't make myself go unconscious. i've also attempted to do the night night method.

I'm simply following what the ligature strangulation megathread says. I'm gonna use either shoelaces or a necktie, and maybe add socks on each carotid to compress them. The author of the megathread included a video of him doing it so i'm just gonna follow what he did

Lol it might sound stupid, and I did rant about it before. There's someone I've been reaaaally close to, we've known each other for 5-6 years, he's been ghosting me for almost a month and seeing that today he replied to someone else triggered me.
Although this isn't the only reason I'm gonna ctb, ig it's simply my last straw, I was already planning on doing it, I just ended up doing it sooner than expected

I did, but I'm still willing on giving it a try, I've heard that it might work better on people with thinner necks so yeah

@mofkiy, here is another thread about ligature strangulation and why it doesn't generally work. I made a comment on this thread which explains my opinion about it. There's another comment from me further down the thread too.

In addition to the one @eggsausagerice linked, here is another thread about ligature strangulation from the same author (@anagram) that has more comments on it.

In short, it might work if you're lucky or really determined, but the odds are against you.

It's also interesting to see what the original author who wrote the guide on ligature strangulation said about it later:

It's bullshit. It works but hanging is just way easier in my opinion.

He also planned to die by hanging later, although it isn't confirmed whether he did or just disappeared from the forum:

Yeah. Full suspension. I am bringing a footstool with me. Currently buying a rope too. Also learnt how to tie the bowline/running bowline/water bowline knot for the anchor and noose knot for the noose. Feeling confident. Found a strong anchor point too outside.
I will find beauty in it. The secluded area and the silence. The dark of the night. It's also sentimental because I used to hang out there with people I knew. Forests are beautiful. I thank God that ways out of suffering is all around us (trees). I've also heard of people running away from psych wards and they hanged themselves on trees. Im not afraid of hanging. After experimenting with carotid compression i know death will be quick anyhow.

Ive done my research and will post my collection of notes on full suspension before I CTB myself. Ive read dozens of hanging testimonies and they all said it eventually felt peaceful.

I will always keep in mind the dozens of people I knew that hanged themselves and died. Japan has a suicide forest many people hang themselves there. I also remember Jake Fehr who I think hanged himself in a forest because of Tsuki project.

Such a shame, I might try partial suspension rn but I don't have the right materials (nor the guts) so I know this isn't gonna work. Man i'm so frustrated, I really wanted to end it tonight but seems like I'm stuck here

Oh I didn't even know that was a thing. I've actually choked myself out many times with a leather belt. It's pretty easy to do and once I passed out the belt remained tight around my neck and I almost didn't get up because it felt so good.

I tried ligature strangulation via the advice in the main methods thread on here. It doesnt work at all or id have been out long ago. I tried every which way to tighten the ligature around my neck and i just would not pass out, i didnt even get the head exploding feeling i just wouldnt pass out and i was tying as tight as i possibly could. I tried as high as i could go then various different points across my neck all nothing. Imo you would need a very skinny neck and thin nearly transparent skin to have easy enough access to the important veins for this to work. I heard the creator of that thread themselves even called it bullshit and went on to hang the normal way.

I did come across some of your threads about it while looking for more information about ligature strangulation, I gave up on it unfortunately. I might try psh but I know that I'll either fail or chicken out. It's sad that I can't access more reliable methods

im gonna do this big theatrical thing and go on a short vacation to california to attempt psh/ potentially fsh lol. But i actually have just as good of a chance of it working as you. Im very scared it wont work but seeing how some famous people hung so seemingly easy gives me hope

Yeah, seeing how many people die from hanging does seem encouraging, i'm more worried about the main and being "saved" on time

Are you sure this isn't impulsive? Maybe try sleeping on it. CTB is your choice but it should be made with a calm mind as a rational decision.

It might've been a bit impulsive of me, but I always planned to ctb, I just thought of doing it a bit earlier than expected. But yeah I ended up not doing it because ligature strangulation is considered a non-method so ig I'm still stuck here for another while

If you can't do psh, ligature is also less likely to work. Do your homework well buddy.
