That's an wrong assumption. The problem is that we all have a survival instinct, this won't let most of us do something against ourselves despite we willing to do it.

Survival instinct is the final boss, you can give me an instant death option an still I'd think twice because my brain wasn't programmed to kill itself, simple as that.

So all this might cause an illusion that many people here "don't want to die" but it's not true.

It's a constant struggle and it might, at first, looks like a contradiction but it is not.

But how do people shoot their own face? I mean, I'd aim on my brain sideways not in front of my face... There are places to aim that will cease consciousness immediately even if it doesn't kill you, like brainstem.

No, there's no such thing as quick, easy methods rather instead we exist in this horrific anti-suicide world where the suffering and torture of this dreadful existence is seen as to force and prolong no matter what, it's so disgusting and horrible how painless guaranteed ways to cease existing are made illegal by humans who want others to feel the torture and pain or existing for as long as possible.

I always suffer so unbearably from how I cannot just have the option to cease existing painlessly with no risks of it going wrong and leading to way worse torture and damage in this existence where there is no limit as to how much agony one can feel, denying painless death is such terrible extreme cruelty to me but of course this existence should never be imposed at all, to be trapped in this existence of suffering all for the sake of it is the most torturous, dreadful burden.

Yes, and only if you aim so perfectly that you die instantly. If you're a little off for whatever reason, then you're in for a lot of pain before bleeding out.

Personally if I lived alone and in America I'd try a triple method. I'd consume SN, tie myself to a ceiling fan just enough that I don't choke and then shoot myself in the brain. Feels like a guaranteed death

I mean SI is always a given. The gunshot will at least almost surely knock you out due to impact. I have attempted before several times but it was through short suspension hanging which is basically a useless method for 90% of people so I don't know if it counts

there is a difference between wanting to die and managing to accomplish that. it is very hard. but its genuinely okay if you dont know that yet you can learn from talking with suicidal people
also a lot of methods may seem quick and easy, but usually have one of two problems: they are unreliable or hard to access. like jumping off a tall building is the former, less lethal than it appears in movies. cyanide is the latter, extremely potent poison, very reliable, but because of how dangerous it is nigh-impossible to get your hands on. you have to find a middle ground between reliability and availability, here SN (sodium nitrite) is popular for striking that balance.

also... this may be a case of (somewhat literal) survivorship bias. if you look on here there are a lot of accounts that are created, then quite active, and then are no longer active, disappear. either they moved on and recovered (or just left the forum), or they successfully did it. it's just that they aren't around to post "hey everyone it worked, i'm at the pearly gates now, wish me luck"
