If they are omnipotent, then they would not need to create the universe in the first place, since needs implies imperfection.
I think God would be another force far above us, but with flaws too and doesn't necessarily need to know everything about each of us.

That being said, they may not even know what they did or have no control over it. The universe could be like a dream for them, we don't control our dreams. Maybe they have control and wanted a universe full of suffering to serve as a show, because of immeasurable loneliness and boredom for being the only all-powerful in existence.

Hardest days I've ever faced. The guy got life, no chance for parole. He had been arrested numerous times for DUI before this happened.
