Title says it all. I've just been wondering about how that works normally and couldn't really find any definitive info on it.
Does the police tell them? Are your relatives normally expected to? Or do they just fire you because you haven't shown up for a week without notice?
(Assume someone who barely has any IRL contacts apart from work and maybe one or two relatives who live far away.)
