Not Love. . . .
That's why i said 'almost' everything. Also love is a big word ... For some it means alot for others not so much. It all depends on how you experience it. It's like the debate on what is true love and what is not ... It's impossible to put an answer on that question.

And i'm certain it would make the search a hell of alot easier .. just weed out the golddiggers.

If you asked me a year ago, I would have said for love. But in that year I learned what love should be. And I wouldn't because well she deserves better.

I may not have found love ... But i have made more than one friendship using money. I did not buy the friendship but i made friends while using it.

Let me put it this way. If you live in the gutter your chances of finding love are a whole lot smaller than it would be when you are rich. So money may not buy genuine love but it can help you find it.
It's Not that Complicated.

It's Not that Complicated.

By all means elaborate. I already agree with what is called "true love" can not be bought. I don't understand what you are getting at to be honest. I also never stated that it could be bought hence i said 'almost anything'.

Also i don't know what i could have said that made this subject overly complicated?

It would be pointless. I may have another chance at life but I'll still be the same person, same mindset, etc. So even if I do restart I'm bound to fuck it up again.

Sometimes I wonder if the arrow of time is definite or just an illusion created by our consciousness. Maybe every moment in time has causal effects both forward and backwards and we are just unable to see the larger four dimensional picture. In other words, if all physics that are relevant to our physical existence are symmetrical in time.
If that were true and the universe isn't completely deterministic (chance events happen differently) we would get a near unlimited possibilities of reliving our lives, but it would also trap us in an eternal existence (although still finite in total possibilities). I have spend a great deal of time wondering if this hypothetical situation should change anything about how I live my life. It would require my current actions to create alternate pasts, and from these alternate pasts better futures might then be created (although this might happen even if I don't make an effort to do so). My current self would not get to experience that because there is no retention of memory. But in a way the same is true for how I might try to better my future life, it's not the current me that experiences the future, but someone I will change into but won't quite be me.

No, I wouldn't. I came from a broken home and then was placed in foster care. I worked hard to make a decent living and raised my son. unfortunately, I have been cursed with a terminal illness which is outside my control. I am too exhausted to repeat all that again and eventually ending up in the same place.

No, I wouldn't change anything. I have never wanted to be alive and that won't change no matter what. Having to relive my life again would be a pain in the ass.

I feel you. I totally would. I'd like to believe that I will die and then wake up in the past, before I destroyed my life, and be given a second chance.

If I got the chance to have that kind of a do-over, I would take it in a HEARTBEAT. Too bad I can't. I would fix so much shit.

Yes, I think about this ALL the time. However, as LifeSick pointed out there's really no point. But yeah, if I could go back to say 14 years old (I'm 25 now) with the knowledge I have now, I would make different decisions and hopefully be able to get to a place where, at 25, I don't want to die. I could see myself still committing suicide at an older age, say ~40, due to impulsivity + perhaps alcohol, but yeah.
