Discussion If you could choose between Hanging and SN which would you choose?

SN for me. It sounds more peaceful, even with the drawbacks. Less severe risk/consequences if you fail. Easier method in my opinion. Personally I think it's just a better state to find someone in, too. Also hanging just scares me.

i've heard hanging really affects ur SI and once u kick the chair it's over (unless partial/etc), but SN is reversible with methyl blue in case u change ur mind and more peaceful tbh

SN first because it seems more peaceful. Unfortunately it's just really hard to get a hold of. So hanging would be next. I prefer partial hanging because I feel more in control. I've only done it once while I was in hospital, and almost managed to black out before I was stopped.

For me they are both horrible. I would only consider hanging if the head shot didn't work. Obviously in that case you fall into the noose in a state of unconsciousness. Frankly no death is too long I like it. I prefer instant things, even if they are highly brutal and violent.

I was once set on hanging because i thought SN takes too much effort but after looking more into SN i think i'd prefer that very much. Other than the fact vomiting is a possibility and i have a phobia of it.

Hanging (full suspension)

Effective since ancient times, as a method of suicide and execution.

You only need a rope, a chair and a somewhat elevated and strong place that can support your weight.

Tying knots is easy, just watch a YouTube video. I got them right on the first try and I'm not very skilled at all.

You just have to endure pain for 10/15 seconds until you become unconscious. Then you just have to wait for death to take you. In an hour it will all be over.

You must be totally determined, there is no turning back. That is why many do not choose this method.

There are plenty of videos that prove its effectiveness. If you use the image search engine you will see a lot of people who have done it, with various materials and in various places, some of them look too improvised and with little knowledge and yet they managed to kill themselves. I also know two people in my city who used this method to take their own lives.

And about brain damage, you need to be alone without anyone interfering to help you. Once you are hung with the rope tightening around your neck you will simply die. That is why, as I mentioned, it is for determined people, without fear and who can bear a little pain for a couple of seconds.

I don't think it's a brutal method. It's nice, I'd like to see my small and skinny body "dancing" on the rope, like a marionette, until death comes to get me.

I'd personally prefer the poison method, hanging sounds risky and terrifying and so painful to try and go through with, I'd fear it going wrong and leading to way worse suffering, I wish I had a poison method, it'd bring me so much peace from suffering in this existence I always saw as the most terrible tragic mistake, I'd always prefer to not exist than suffer in this cruel, futile existence.

SN. I don't have anywhere private for full suspension. I don't fancy hanging outside and leaving it to the public to find me. I can't see partial working for me.

If I could freely choose then SN, but since I don't have the means to require what's needed for that method, I'll just need to somehow overcome SI and hang myself in the forest. Full suspension, I can't imagine myself doing partial because it seems way to easy for SI to make you back away from it.

SN. Hanging is more of a body envelope violation and psychologically more difficult, likely painful to some degree, and also, I just hate the aesthetics of full suspension.

One could use something like N2O to go unconscious first, but it adds another potential risk of failure if you fall into the noose the wrong way.

If both were 100% guaranteed to kill you, I'd have to choose SN over hanging. SN method just seems more peaceful and less painful than hanging. Plus, I'm just not sure I could force myself to go through with hanging method.
